It’s one month after Matthew died in a car crash, she is distraught to find out that she is a month pregnant with baby twins- she couldn’t believe it when she was sat in the bathroom looking at the positive test. She broke down in tears but determined to bring up her’s and Matthew’s baby, She is determined to keep the memory of Matthew alive within her child, She wants him or her to know that Matthew was their daddy and he cares about you very much I know he’ll love you if he was here with me. I know he’ll be smitten with you.
Eight months on, Anna is extremely large, she is four days overdue, Anna is expecting twins she doesn’t know the twins sex but she thinks it’s twin boys, she knows Matthew would have loved to have boys. One day later Anna went into labour in the toilets of the woopack and Jimmy was in and decided to help her, he had realised over the last few months that she did care about Matthew, one evening she was talking to Jimmy asking him what names did Matthew like, I know Matthew was close with his father so if I have a boy I was thinking of calling him Thomas Matthew King do you think he’ll like it?
Jimmy- If Matthew was around that’s the exact same name Matthew would call his son, I know Matthew I know he always said he wanted all boys but being his brother and all that I know he’ll love a little baby girl.
So Jimmy drives to the hospital but he isn’t allowed in the delivery room with Anna so he waits outside he sits on a chair outside in the corridor and suddenly he hears a baby crying
Jimmy ( taking to Matthew) where ever you are I hope your watching the birth of your first child) then he hears a second cry
3 minutes later the nurse walks out and sees Jimmy
Nurse- Are you Jimmy King?
Jimmy- yes
Nurse- Anna says you can come in and see them
Jimmy walks in and sees Anna sat up in bed cradling two babies one with gingish hair like Anna and the other one with jet black hair like Matthew
Jimmy- ohh..
Anna- Oh Jimmy
Jimmy sees the one who has jet black hair
Jimmy- boy he’s sure taken after his dad
Anna- her dad! It’s a girl

Jimmy- Oh that’s wonderful I bet Matthew’s well proud he’ll be protecting that little girl. I know Matthew pretty well he’s always been one of his protective males- I know Matthew will been thrilled to bits, are they both girls?
Anna- No
Jimmy- So you had a girl and a boy
Anna- yeah and can I ask you something?
Jimmy- sure anything?
Anna- I bet Matthew if he was here he’ll pick you to be our Mary’s godfather
Anna- I really want my Matthew with me
Jimmy- I know you do and I bet Matthew would like to be with you where ever he is. I know if he was here he’ll be cooing over his baby boy and his little girl. I know that Matthew will be smitten with Mary. I know he would and also he would do absolute anything for her.
Two days later Anna is allowed home she enters hers and Matthew’s house, she puts the twins in some cots down stairs
She stood over at them looking at them, they were fast asleep and she said
Anna- I wish your daddy was here, she looked over at Mary
Anna burst into tears- you look so like your daddy- I know if he saw you he would have been head over heels in love with you since the first second he saw you- you’re his little princess, daddy’s princess- I know your dad would have loved to meet you I’ll tell you all about your daddy when your older.
When the twins were 3 months old, the baby girl fell seriously ill and had to taken to hospital for this emergency operation and Anna was waiting in the family room, it was 3am Anna was absolutely exhausted she was the only one in the family room, sat there she felt this presence sat next to her and she began to feel someone holding her hand.
Anna- Matthew? Is that you
Then she heard faintly- Anna, She’s going to be all right, I’m protecting her, I’m doing anything in my power to protect my only little girl. Don’t worry her dad’s watching out for her- how’s Thomas?
Anna- he’s fine- I wish you were still with me
Anna sat next to her daughter who was strapped to a incubator, Jimmy was looking after Thomas

how weird, Matt died in a car crash- how strange? when I write it I always thought that Carl killed Matt in a fight

The nurse walked up to her
Nurse- go home miss Desouza, you have been here 3 days- you need to get some sleep
Anna- yeah your right- Anna got up
Anna-( talking to the baby girl- I’ll be here tomorrow sweetheart
She leaves and comes to home farm to collect Thomas
Anna walked into Home farm
Jimmy- Anna? God you look absolutely knackered haven’t you had any sleep?
Anna- No, I just came here to pick up Thomas and I’m off home to sleep
Jimmy- you can stay here you know- we have plenty of spare rooms
Anna- are you sure?
Jimmy- course I’m sure
Anna- thanks that means a lot
Jimmy- so how is Mary doing?
Anna- the doctors say she’s improving
Jimmy- Oh that’s good.
15 months have passed the girl is better now actually she spends the day running around the house knocking things over. Anna has showed Mary pictures of Matthew to her.
Anna showed Mary a picture of Matthew- this is your daddy- he loves you very much
Anna has always talked about Matthew to the twins so it wasn’t unusual that Mary’s first word was Dada.
When the twins were two Jimmy decided to give the twins Matthews share in home farm and he opened up a trust fund for them both.
Jimmy came to see how Anna was, Jimmy was sat on the sofa and Mary was running around the living room
Jimmy- god she’s a real bundle of energy is that one
Anna- I know tell me about it
Jimmy-God everytime I look at her- I see Matthew looking back at me
Anna- I know she’s spiting image of Matthew. She’s so like him
Jimmy- I know, Matthew when he was exactly her age had the same bundle of energy
