(Jimmy and Sadie are walking out of the pub)
Sadie: Jimmy! Can you please just drop it!?
Jimmy: No Sadie I cant ‘Just drop it’ this is our future we are talking about here, what’s the point in building a huge house if there is only going to be two of us to fill it?! We may as well just build a bungalow with a large patio instead!
(Sadie falters back in horror)
Sadie: Have you taken leave of your senses? Jimmy please, don’t be like this, I don’t want us to fight we have such a good thing going together I don’t want anything to spoil what we have.
(Jimmy backs down to his wife’s apparent emotional plea. He pats her on the shoulder, before coldly reaffirming what she already knew.)
Jimmy: This is far from over Sadie. You can’t charm your way out of this, we have too much we need to sort out.

(Inside the woolpack, Bob was fluttering about his usual happy self behind the bar, as usual the woolpack was quite full, Len and Jarvis were sat over pints trying to get a handle on the moment that was Frank Bernard)
Jarvis: I heard what you said, but he’s a rapist for goodness sake, folk shouldn’t hav’t be exposed tu’ scum like that!
Len: Keep your voice down will you?! I am doing what’s best for Pearl and nobody else. Frank Bernard is her son, and besides he had therapy for it. The probation officer said that it probably did the trick. We’re hoping a stint in prison did him good.
Jarvis: So you’re happy to put him up, under your roof, but spose folk aint to keen to have a rapist walking up and down urt street. Did you think of that?
(Len chugged the last of his pint down his neck, and rose to his feet.)
Len: Look Jarvis, he’s coming, I don’t like it any more than you do, but they come as a package. I don’t want to lose Pearl, because if I shun Frank Bernard I lose Pearl do you understand that, I’m prepared to chance it because I love her and I am not going to risk losing her.
(Jarvis quickly pipes up at this remark)
Jarvis: Aye, you may be prepared to take risks, but what about the other decent people who live here? Do they share your misplaced sentiment? Oh wait, that’s right, they don’t know do they!
(Len bows his head and closes his eyes, hearing Jarvis loud and clear)
Jarvis: Any road, I said me piece, I’m off. I imagine you have a lot to think about.
(Tom and Charity are sat across the pub on a little table in the back. Charity is chomping down the food, as Tom sits pondering, staring into space thinking. He seemed totally indifferent to everything around him.)
Charity: I’ll say this for Marlon, he doesn’t have many good qualities, but cooking is by far his best.
(Charity looks at Tom as she swallowed more food, he still sits blankly thinking rubbing his chin.)
Charity: Oh by the Tom, I forgot to mention, the village is about to be attacked and utterly destroyed by a gruesome monster.
(Tom’s head suddenly spun round and looked at Charity)
Tom: That’s not at all funny, how dare…!
Charity: TOM!
(Tom seemed to come back down to Earth with a bump, after that brief exchange.)
Tom: I’m sorry love; I’m just a little distracted I have a lot on my mind.
Charity: Like what? Whatever it is, I want to know about it right. Because we are getting married soon, married people share things with each others secrets are not healthy in any relationship.
Tom: I know. It’s not important really…Just a few loose ends that I am going to get the lads to tidy up. I promise its nothing.
(Charity rubbed his hand and then carried on eating, wondering who he was trying to convince from the look on his face.)

(Steph was walking along the road, chasing up behind her in a fast trot was Eric Pollard, he called out to her)
Eric: Steph! Steph!
(She stopped and turned round)
Steph: What is it Eric, I’m just on me way back to the b and b, I got to see to me dad y’know.
Eric: I know, I know. But, am I actually going to see you at the factory today or not?
Steph: Sorry Eric, you’re just gonna have to cope without me.
(Steph had a devious smile on his face as she left. Pollard just rolled his eyes and headed towards the pub)

(Back at Holdgate Farm, Jimmy sat on the bench outside, he leaned forward and looked over at a scene unfolding before him, and there he saw Diane, Jack and Victoria out for a walk. He could see that Diane was not the girl’s parent, but Jack was, how happy the three of them seemed, he was unable to take his mind off him and Sadie for a moment, it was all he thought about. Matt appeared and sat next to him.)
Matt: Penny for them…Look Jimmy, I know things between you and Sadie, well, they’re far from perfect, perhaps you should consider y’know, forgetting the whole thing.
Jimmy: You what?!
Matt: I have no idea why you want to lumber yourself with kids, Carl’s made that mistake. He wants to be with Chastity yet he’ll always have his kids getting in the way.
(Jimmy seemed almost insulted by the comparison)
Jimmy: Me and Sadie are nothing like Carl and Chastity, he was fortunate enough to get kids, but he was too stupid and threw it all away!
Matt: All as I’m saying is it’s a busy time for us, especially with Max on his way, we’re going to need all hands on deck to hold his leash, you know how, uh…what’s the word…difficult, our youngest brother can be.
Jimmy: I don’t give a stuff what Max does, and neither should you. I got my own problems to attend to.
Matt: You’re going to make yourself ill going on and on about kids.
Jimmy: What’d you know about it? You aint even got a wife, never mind kids so just keep your nose out of business that doesn’t concern you, alright!?
(Jimmy left Matt to it. He got into his Rover 75 and sped off spinning the wheels as he went.)

(Katie and Robert walked into the pub and then locked eyes with Andy, Rob immediately even if unintentional seemed awkward about the whole thing, determines though not to be put out by his adopted brothers presence.)
Robert: What are you having?
Katie: Just a dry white wine please Rob.
(Louise walked over to him.)
Louise: What can I get you?
Robert: A pint and a dry white wine please.
(Louise set off and pulled the pints, Cain who had been sitting next to Andy on the stool said not so discreetly to Andy)
Cain: You know, it’s a shame really that you take as much as what you do off them. Flaunting themselves in front of your face like that, you wanna take action.
Andy: Action? Last time I listened to you I took action and nearly killed my da…I nearly killed Jack. And now look, I’ve been cast out. I got my own life now Cain, I can’t cling to the past anymore. Rob’s welcome to her. I don’t care anymore I really don’t.
(Andy dismounted from the bar stool and headed out of the pub past Rob and Katie.)
Katie: You know Rob, maybe you should make it up with him.
Robert: Why? Y’know Katie, we are all better off without him. He incinerated my mum, and then he nearly kills my dad with a shotgun. He has ruined our lives, he’s evil, just like his real father.
Katie: You don’t mean that.
Robert: I do, yeah.
Katie: I just cant stop feeling guilty, we really hurt him.
Robert: That’s not our problem. Not anymore.
(Robert continued with his pint Katie sat, for the first time showing genuine remorse at what she had done.)
