HI ;D I've had the nod from ITV and am underway with my plan for a huge cast member gallery exhibition. I plan to show the exhibition in several places in the region and will conclude it with a grand auction to help raise funds for Leukaemia Research. I have sent out 6 invitations to members of Emmerdale today and am hoping for good support. More invites will go out when I have my reference pictures taken for the first lot etc etc Check my news page for regular updates www.laptopdavinci.comRegards Chris

Best of luck with the project Chris. It's for a great cause. Can I ask which cast members you've approached or is that a secret for the moment?

Hi I've finally finished Chastity Dingle's portrait I've been very busy working on Sir Alex Ferguson's portrait lately, hence the delay. You can see a preview of her on the news page of my website: www.laptopdavinci.comTomorrow I will load it onto my blog so you can critique/comment on it if you'd like? www.laptopdavinci.wordpress.comThanks Chris

Thanks Chris, it's very good and all I can say in observation is that you have been very kind to Lucy in 'softening' her which is ok but the other thing is that I never recalled seeing the down-turn in the corner of her mouth as you have it, she has always seemed to me to have a dead straight smile. Before I posted this I went back over quite a lot of photos and only found one with any down-turn. It's minor and I don't think she would moan but you wanted observations.

Hi Lucy had been busy filming at the village and was late meeting up with me. She signed it at the Dingle house. In Lucy's defense it's not easy to pose with your portrait as the portrait has you looking your best. I wouldn't want to have a photo taken n ext to my self portrait Regards Chris www.laptopdavinci.com

Hi Chris, for the first time I have to say that you have let a subject down IMO.
I can't put my finger on why but I don't like your interpretation at all. Glappy felt the same. I'll have to study it some more but my initial thought is that you have not made his face long enough, he almost looks chubby rather than the more gaunt looking Jack we see.

Hi Boggy Thanks for your input. As you know I work from reference photos and I took some of Clive the other week and this is how he looks, he's not thin or drawn, certainly not in real life. I'll take your thoughts on board but remember with art, you can't please everybody. I'll let you know what Clive thinks when I find out. Regards Chris www.laptopdavinci.com
