SOAP STAR Sammy Winward will be stepping out for charity tomorrow.
The 21-year-old, along with baby daughter, Mia, will be taking part in a "toddle waddle" to raise money for the Meningitis Trust. Sammy, who plays Katie Sugden in Emmerdale and who lives in Bromley Cross, is encouraging as many people as possible to come along and help boost the fundraising target.
She said: "This is a great way to raise money. I would urge people to come along as it really is a great day and a very important charity." advertisement
Two special little girls will be joining the TV star on the day - both of them have survived meningitis.
In January, Leah Johnson, aged one, was just minutes away from death after falling ill with the potentially fatal bacterial form of the illness. She is now back at home with her family in Astley Bridge .
And two-year-old Regan Barlow, "died" twice when she contracted the illness in February. She spent almost two weeks in intensive care at Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool and was finally allowed back to her Deane home on February 16.
