From the press association
Some of your favourite soap stars will be taking part in a charity football match next month.
A team of current Hollyoaks actors will play against another celebrity team, consisting of stars from Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Shameless, Casualty and The Bill.
Hollyoaks' Nick Pickard, who plays Tony, Jamie Lomas (Warren) and Ricky Whittle (Calvin) will come up against some familiar faces, with ex-Hollyoaks actors James Redmond and Gary Lucy in the opposing line up.
The match will take place at Chester City's Deva Stadium on May 24 with proceeds going to the Claire House Children's Hospice and Alder Hey's Imagine Appeal, which raises money to help care for the 200,000 patients who use the Liverpool hospital each year.
Nick Pickard says: "Not only will the day and evening be great fun, it's also a fantastic opportunity for us to raise plenty of money for two worthwhile charities."
