Dale star's bikeathon
EMMERDALE hunk Kelvin Fletcher has pulled on his cycling shorts in preparation for a mammoth 1000 mile bike ride for charity next week!
Kelvin, who plays Andy Sugden in the soap, has teamed up with ex-Motocross World Champion Jamie Dobb to host the big cycle, which will raise cash for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.
The ten-day cycle-athon kicks off on June 9 in Barcelona, finishing at Donington Park on June 18, in a bid to support the charity which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening diseases.
Kelvin told us: 'I've never done anything like this before, I'm very excited.
"The Emmerdale cast are very supportive, although they were totally shocked by the magnitude of the challenge, even friends and family have been finding it hard to believe I'm actually doing it!
"But the cause is what drives you forward. And the daily disbelief of others just makes me more determined."
Kelvin, 24, has another challenge on the horizon too - finishing writing and directing a film which will star Shameless favourite Jody Latham.
"It's called Gomez, and it's the life story of the boxer Michael Gomez. We'd already filmed a trailer for it, which went down well at Cannes.
"So we're looking to get funding and finish it for the end of this year." Kelvin won't be appearing in the film himself, but directing is clearly something which comes naturally to him, after growing up on the set of Emmerdale.
He's a man of many talents!
