From the Yorkshire Evening Post STARS of Emmerdale are set to take on other celebrities from TV, radio and sport in a charity football match. The Emmerdale team, captained by Glenn Lamont who plays Richie Carter, will take on Red Carpet XI, a team boasting personalities like Lee Sharpe and The Royle Family's Ralf Little, at Chris Moyles Stadium in Featherstone on Sunday, September 21, in a game to raise money for two deserving charities. The money will go towards DeBRA, the national charity working with people who have the skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa. Money will also go to the Featherstone Sports and Education Foundation which gives children opportunities to develop through sport and education. Stars from Harry Potter, Hollyoaks and Coronation Street will be among those taking to the field. Gates open at 11.30am and the match kicks-off at 2pm.
