Body & soul celebrity secrets-Emmerdale and Hell's Kitchen star Adele Silva shares her beauty tips..
Which beauty products do you swear by?
I love Dr Sebagh Breakout Foaming Cleanser. It works really well on my oily skin and I never get a spot when I use it. The Advanced Anti-Ageing Moisturiser is great, too. Now that I'm nearly 28,I have to look after my skin.
Do you have any beauty secrets?
Vaseline is a wonderful thing. It's good for dry skin and chapped lips. I also dab it on my cheekbones as a highlighter and I apply some on my eyebrows to keep them in place.
What are your essential cosmetics?
I couldn't live without my Yves Saint Laurent False Lash Effect mascara. I've got small eyes and, if I didn't wear it, they might look a bit piggy.
How do you stay in shape?
I've been going to the gym three times a week since January. I do weights and body conditioning and I've noticed a difference. I don't have bingo wings any more and my bottom doesn't wobble any more!
Do you diet?
No. But I'm lucky in that I've got quite a fast metabolism. I'm one of these people who can't sit still as well. Very occasionally, I might cut out carbs for five days so I don't feel as bloated, though.
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
Well I've already had my boobs done. I went from a B to a C cup and I don't regret it for a moment. It stopped me having to wear a Wonderbra.
What is your signature fragrance?
Stella by Stella McCartney. It's a lovely, flowery scent and I wear it every day.
How do you pamper yourself?
When I want to treat myself I go to the Bliss Spa in London. I love having their signature pedicure and I watch Sex And The City or Ugly Betty while drinking their fruit smoothies. It's divine!
What is your all-time favourite outfit?
I've got a little black dress by Alice Temperley which I wore to the British Soap Awards last year. It has a gorgeous back and is scalloped at the bottom. It was expensive - about £1,000 - but it won't go out of fashion.
Who is your style icon?
I love Victoria Beckham. I know people knock her but she always looks so polished and she knows what suits her. It's rare that you see her make a fashion faux pas.
