(Chris has gone in to see Kathy, he sits down at Kathy's bedside, and Chris holds Kathy's hand.)

Chris: You'll be okay, Kathy, I promise…I love you.

(Chris kisses Kathy's hand, Kathy starts to twitch, suddenly her eyes open with a start, and she looks around, her eyes wide with fear.)

Kathy: W - what's happening, where am I, Chris, Chris!?

Chris: Its okay, Kathy, darling, I'm here.

(Kathy relaxes for a second as Chris gently strokes her face.)

Chris: You're in hospital, sweetheart, you've been in an accident, you hit your head.

Kathy: I remember I was walking by the waterway...and...and...

(Kathy starts to cry.)

Chris: Its okay, Kathy, come here.

(Chris cuddles Kathy.)

Kathy: Oh Chris, I was so scared… one minute I was...(sniff)...walking, the next I was..(gulp), I was falling, I tried to call for help but no - one heard me…then...then...I don't remember....Oh Chris...I thought I was going to die!

(Kathy bursts into a fresh flood of tears, Chris rocks her gently.)

Chris: Its okay, Kathy, you're safe now, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

(Chris kisses Kathy's head.)
