The Wallness Children’s Charity Five Stars Appeal is proud to present an unmissable evening of music, song and atmosphere at The Bridgewater Hall, one of the Country’s finest concert halls in central Manchester.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the incredible sound of The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines. The programme starts in traditional military style involving the world famous corps of drums of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines and individual soloists. There will be an overture to finish this section in spectacular style. Then, for the first time ever, The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines will provide the big band accompaniment to a host of celebrities as they recreate the swing era in a way never seen before.
To close the programme The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines invite you to enjoy the electric atmosphere of the last night of the Proms, with the time honoured line up including Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory.
Singing with the band are, amongst others, ‘Coronation Street’’s Suranne Jones, Nikki Sanderson, Andy Whyment and Johnathan Wrather, and from ‘Emmerdale’, Amy Nuttall.
The evening is hosted by the legendary Richard O’Brien.
