From Yahoo
Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley has proved there's more to him than playing bad lad Cain Dingle, thanks to his role in stage drama On Tour.
The play recently completed a run at the Royal Court Upstairs, London, and moves to the Liverpool's Everyman Theatre, from October 28 until November 19.
Hordley plays H, an opportunist from Manchester who follows the England football squad because he wants to get involved in any anarchy that might kick off.
It opens in a Scandinavian prison where H and Daz Advertisement (Paul Anderson), a psychotic ex-Marine from London, have been remanded.
H may seem to be a loudmouth with an opinion on everything, but he's also a man with a cunning scheme.
He intends to close a deal with a former associate called Ray (Andrew Schofield), and then rip him off, with a little help from Daz.
However, things don't quite go to plan.
On Tour is just the latest dramatic feather in the cap for Hordley, who made his soap debut in Coronation Street back in 1997.
After appearing in an episode of Heartbeat a year later, he returned to Corrie as a character called Wayne.
Eventually Emmerdale's casting team snapped him up in 2000 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Is that why he seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth recently?

I made the trip to Liverpool to see this on Saturday night, it was really excellent, Jeff is never off the stage and has the largest part. Patsy Kensit and Nick Miles were both in the audience too and chatting with him in the bar aftrerwards.
Better than a fireworks party any day, I shall go to the theatre more often after that.

Aaaargh, I'm so jealous #jeal0002# You go to see Jeff and get Nick Miles thrown in free? ILG will have kittens when she reads this, it's almost too much for a red-blooded woman to bear.
