From This is Bradford Two friends who work in the costume department at TV soap Emmerdale will be changing roles and not clothes for a week when they cycle across Jordan for charity. Laura Clayton, 25, from Riddlesden, and Judith Longridge, 29, from Hyde Park, in Leeds, will make the change in March next year and have until January to raise £5,000 between them. The intrepid pair will cycle 300k over the course of seven days as part of Action for Charity and will join around 30 other people to face the rough terrain and hills together. All the money raised will go towards helping five different children's charities - Barnardos, Kith and Kids, ChildLine, Med Equip 4 Kids and Dreams Come True. Laura said: "We are amateurs who want to do something for charity. They are all great charities to support." continued... Judith said: "I used to do a lot of running and I was trying to think of something to do again and then Laura came up with the idea of cycling. The duo are averaging around 20 to 25 miles at the weekends and hope to carry on training through all types of weather to make sure they are physically fit for next year. Both Laura and Judith have started organising fundraising and so far they have raised £1,000 and have had a lot of support from colleagues at Emmerdale. Anyone who would like to sponsor Laura and Judith can visit their web site at www.bmycharity.com/judithandlaura.
