EMMERDALE STAR'S TRIAL POSTPONED
AN Emmerdale star accused of breaking a man's jaw at a party for Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson has had his trial postponed.
Cleveland Campbell, who plays Danny Daggert in the ITV1 soap, denied assault causing grevious bodily harm.
He is accused of punching 20-year-old Daniel Stable at a party in Rochdale last November.
Campbell, 28, who remains on unconditional bail, had been a guest at the 21st birthday party of Atkinson, who plays Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks, as had Mr Stable.
Bolton Crown Court was told that a trial date will be set at a hearing on September 25, with a date in January or February next year expected.
Gemma Atkinson is his ex-girlfriend.
