Susan Penhaligon, aka Emmerdale's Jean Hope, admits she's a little nervous about her next assignment.
"I'm performing at a charity evening in Gainsborough, which is being organised by Richard Shelton. He played the doctor in Emmerdale.
"Why I have agreed to sing a song with him when I can't sing, and I have never sung in public before, is beyond me," she laughs.
The Celebrity Swing Night, in aid of The Motor Neurone Disease Association, will feature co-stars Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle), Tom Lister (Carl King), Meg Johnson (Pearl Ladderbanks), Liam O'Brien (Ethan Blake) and Roxanne Pallet (Jo Stiles).
Other soap veterans lined up to appear include ex-Coronation Street star Jonathan Wrather (Joe Carter) and Hollyoaks' Chris Fountain (Justin Burton).
The event kicks off at the Sands Venue, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire on Sunday, November 19 at 7pm.
