Soap stars back volunteers

Two Emmerdale stars are urging people in Bradford to dress down to support lifeboat rescue volunteers.
Andy Devine and Chris Chittell want school children and workers to pay £1 to swap uniforms for casual clothes on the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's SOS Day on Friday.
Mr Devine, who plays Shadrach Dingle, said: "I'm full of admiration for the volunteers. I hope everyone gets behind them to help them carry on saving lives."
Mr Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard, said: "Only ten per cent of new volunteers have a professional maritime background, so it's essential money is raised to pay for training."
RNLI provide 24-hour coastal search and rescue all year and they rely entirely on donations.
