LOCK up your fellas, girls – Chastity Dingle is single and on the rampage again!
The Emmerdale babe, played by Lucy Pargeter, is set to delight her fans by returning to her bitchy best after being given the boot by lover Carl King.
As Lucy says: “Chas has been too good for too long. It’s time for her to start playing dirty again!”
The mouthy soap lass is left heartbroken next week when posh Carl dumps her. He is struggling to cope with a deadly secret – that he killed his dad, Tom, on Christmas Day.
But in true Dingle tradition, Chas will get over the split by going on a boozy bender and trying to bed as many fellas as she can to make Carl jealous.
In an exclusive chat with the Daily Star, Lucy, 28, reveals: “She’s totally shellshocked and goes on a big alcoholic bender of wine and vodka.
“She’s determined to drink herself into oblivion to get through it. She’s on selfdestruct mode and won’t let anyone get through to her. Chas will get back to her old ways – and I can’t wait, because I think that’s when she’s at her best.”
Hurt After years with posh Home Farm boss Carl – played by Tom Lister, 27 – Lucy reckons Chastity is in desperate need of a bad boy lover to get her over the split. She says: “I think she’s going to give as good as she gets. She may even play around just to wind Carl up and try to hurt him as much as possible. “I’d like to see her with someone who is going to bring her wild side out to play again. She’s been too good for too long. “I think that, because she can’t have Carl, she’ll go for a new man – maybe a criminal, a real bad boy this time!”
Fans of the hit ITV1 soap are in for an emotional time on Monday when Carl, who has already admitted to his brothers that he killed their dad after a blazing row, turns on Chas.
She is still blissfully unaware that her lover was the one who killed Tom (played by Ken Farrington, 71) on his wedding day. So Carl’s decision to dump her comes out of the blue and leaves her completely devastated.
Lucy explains: “She can tell that there’s something up with him and she is determined to get him to tell her what’s going on. It just comes completely out of the blue and he’s so vile to her.
“Carl is really going on a downward spiral and has a right go at her, calling her all the names under the sun.
“He makes some really personal digs at her, like: ‘I’m sick of your painted face and your gob.’
“She loves him so much and even defends what he’s said when she confides in Katie. They have been through so much together and she pledged her allegiance to him by sticking with him through thick and thin. It’s a complete blow to her.”
But even though Lucy thinks it is high time her soap character got up to some dirty Dingle shenanigans again, she can’t help but hope that the couple will be reunited one day.
And she’s begging fans of the show to help her make it happen.
“I’d love to see a future for Chas and Carl,” she reveals. “But I have been given a hint from the bosses that they won’t, which I think is really vile!
“So I hope there’s a big backlash from fans, who force them to get back together. I think they work so well together, the class divide and financial divide between them just makes for interesting telly.
“After everything they’ve been through, It would be such a shame if they didn’t get back together one day.”
