Matthew's marriage plans!
The Emmerdale star is looking forward to tying the knot with his girlfriend...
David Metcalfe has proved that he's every inch the bad boy, having cheated on poor Delilah Dingle with Katie Sugden up in the Dales. But 27-year-old Matthew Wolfenden, who plays him, has revealed that he only has eyes for his long-term love, dancer Joanne Cavanagh, 34. And he smiles as he casts his mind back to the day they first met five years ago... "We were working on a musical production of Romeo And Juliet," explains the actor. "It would have been a better story if I'd been playing Romeo and Joanne was Juliet, but we were just dancers. Yet the story obviously did something to us!"
The pair became friends before realising they were a perfect match. And now that they've lived together for a number of years, Matthew hints that we might be hearing wedding bells in the near future!
"We know it'll happen, but we're not in any rush at the moment," he shares. "That's the nice thing. We will get married - we just want to plan for the big day properly, and for it to be gorgeous."
