SOAP star Mark Charnock will launch the Cumbria round of the Learning and Skills Council’s (LSC) North West Learner Awards.
Mark, who plays Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale, will be at Rheged, near Penrith on Friday, from 2-3pm.
Business and education leaders from across Cumbria will gather at the launch to hear how they can nominate apprentices, employers and learners for the prestigious awards, which recognise excellence in learning, skills and achievement in individuals and organisations.
Cumbrian award winners will go on to compete for the LSC North West Regional Awards and National Apprenticeship Awards.
