The Saturday Play: The Drover's Path BBC Radio 4 Saturday 22 Jan 2:30pm - 3:30pm This is the first of two plays on Radio 4 this week to be based on true stories. The drama opens with a grieving father who has travelled to a remote part of Yorkshire in 1890 to discover how his son was killed. As he learns about the family of the woman, Edith, his son had fallen in love with, the atmosphere gets ever darker. Edith's mother Ellen emigrated to Australia years ago, leaving her brother John behind on an isolated farm. They'd been extremely close: in fact, you can't help feel John was too fond of his sister. Ellen promised to come back and say goodbye, but when she does it's as a ghost. John is left to bring up his young niece, who is sent over from Australia and bears an uncanny resemblance to her dead mother.... John - Jeff Hordley Percy - Malcolm Hebden Robert/Thomas - Kenneth Alan Taylor Ellen/Edith - Elianne Byrne Arthur/Edward - Matthew Lewney Young Ellen/Young Edith - Catherine Jenkins Young John - Oliver Hudson

Oh no! I missed this. Was it any good? Did anyone record it? BTW, your signature does not include Guinea Pigs does it? Because they are beautiful furry little creatures
