They joined Claire King on the cookery bit with Fern's husband Phil making puddings Deena won the prize where Claire & Anthony won cuddly bunnies.
They were talking about Viv having the twins.
Viv and Bob have had their fair share of ups and downs in the Dales, but this week looks set to be a double celebration as Viv gives birth to twins! But no soap would be complete wihout a crisis or two, and when Viv's waters break on a deserted moor, Paddy and Bob have to deliver the babies themselves! Its hot towels and tissues at the ready!
Viv gives birth to twins this Friday
Viv locks herself in the bathroom. Marlon, Viv and Bob wait for a late Paddy to pick them up. Meanwhile, the car carrying them has broken down. Whilst they try to get a signal on their mobiles to call Donna, Viv's waters break... As Viv finds herself in labour on a deserted road on the moors, Bob tries to keep the two of them calm whilst Marlon goes for help. Paddy is mortified at the situation whilst Bob screams at him to help. Bob realises that the babies are in no mood to wait and prepares to deliver them himself. As the first twin is born, Bob stares dumbfounded at his new daughter. Meanwhile another is on its way and Paddy is forced to get involved and is left overcome when Viv gives birth to the second baby - a boy. An exhausted but delighted Viv and Bob are thrilled with the two new additions to their family.
The Twins
In tribute to the location of their surprise birth, Viv decides to call the twins Catherine and Heathcliff-the lovers on the moors in Emily Bronte's classic novel Wuthering Heights. Viv finds it very hard to to adjust to dealing with two babies, Deena says: "the twins are crying all the time, Viv comes out of hospital one day and the next day she's in the pub saying 'I want my life back'. "Viv hasn't been a mother since she had Donna 21 years ago, so there's a big gap and obviously having twins is different from having just one anyway-both physically and emotionally."
Deena admits that she loves filming with the babies, but says that she is more than happy to hand them back at the end of the day! "It doesn't make me feel broody, I do love babies, but I'm quite happy to pick them up and give them back like I do with my niece and nephews, which is lovely. Deena says that she never really took to playing a pregnant Viv as she had to wear a prosthetic baby bump "It was useful for bashing everybody with, but a bit uncomfortable really. It feels nothing like being pregnant and I loved being pregnant."
