I found this on the This Morning website-
From kicking butt 45 years ago in The Avengers, to kicking off tomorrow night in the Dales, it's the biggest murder twist Emmerdale's ever seen! Joining us this morning is actress Linda Thorson, Emmerdale's Rosemary King, who's been left a widow just hours after her wedding to Tom King on Christmas Day... but whodunnit?!
Joining Emmerdale
Linda first hit our screens as Rosemary in March last year, helping Sadie King get ready for her wedding to her son Alasdair. After Sadie runs off with Matthew, Rosemary plans to have the marriage annulled but Sadie shows a video proving they may have consummated the marriage. Rosemary invites Sadie to dinner, and gives her the saddlery business as payment. She then announces the business is penniless, and Sadie's just been served her horse for dinner. Linda says 'I was originally cast to do just 5 episodes, but Emmerdale had the most requests ever to bring a character back, so here I am back by popular demand! I've tried to make Rosemary have lots of layers and humour. I can't say too much but I'm in Emmerdale until at least the end of this year at least.’
Linda On Bond
Linda says she was talking to her good friend Honor Blackman years ago about wanting to be a Bond Girl, and she told her they'd never cast her until she grew her hair. She says 'one Bond movie later and the whole long hair thing was over! My friend Timothy Dalton was cast as Bond, and he said 'do you want to do it now?' but by that time I could almost have played the Judi Dench part!'
Linda in Star Trek
In 1993 Linda played the 'Cardassian Gul Ocett' in the Star Trek episode 'The Chase'. It took 5 hours of prosthetic make up in the morning, and an hour and a half to get it off! She had to drink through a straw and says she was incredibly claustrophobic! However, just 2 days later Linda was made to go back and re-voice it in an American accent. She says 'I was totally gutted. I'd have moved differently playing an American, I'd have been a different character. I still don't understand it to this day why they made me re-voice it but it was a great show to do.'
Dating Frank Sinatra
Rumour has it Linda once dated Frank Sinatra, having met him while dating Harry Guardino. Frank Sinatra became the godfather of her son Gavin. Linda says 'I was incredibly close to Frank and we all miss him terribly'.
