THE Bolton Octagon will become a theatre of dreams for both sports and arts fans next month.
For the theatre will host the world premiere of play And Did Those Feet, a co-commission between the theatre and Bolton Wanderers' football club, and a highlight of the Octagon's 40th anniversary season.
The play, starring former Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley, is set in 1923 as Bolton prepare to head to the FA Cup Final against West Ham United and everyone in the town is desperate to get down to Wembley.
The innovative production, written by Les Smith and Martin Thomasson, will get its premiere on September 27, and run at The Octagon until October 20.
I hear it is a heartwarming, funny and inspiring play about the passion for `the beautiful game' and its ability to bring people and communities together, and how the residents of one Bolton street in particular resolve their differences and unite behind their team for the big final.
And Did Those Feet is on at the Bolton Octagon from Thursday, September 27 until Saturday, October 20. Tickets are on sale now, and can be booked online at octagonbolton.co.uk or at the Octagon ticket office on 01204 520661.
