The former Emmerdale actress and Hell's Kitchen runner-up is GMTV's new travel reporter.
Adele is 27, single and lives in London.
Girl racer with a pink tax disc.
FOOD
Always the same or always game?
I'm a very fussy eater, I don't like spicy food or sauces on chicken or fish. In an Italian restaurant I will order spaghetti Bolognese, in other places I'll choose chicken and fish, but simply cooked.
COOKING
Experimental or tried and tested?
Since appearing on Hell's Kitchen, I'm experimental. I couldn't cook before the show but now I've got the skills to know which ingredients go with one another. I make a great fish and chicken pie which Marco Pierre White taught me.
CLOTHES
M&S or D&G?
I prefer designer clothes to high street. I'm not at the cutting edge of fashion and would prefer to spend money on good clothes that will last. A designer I love is Alice Temperley.
FASHION
Victim or setter?
I'm not a setter but I try to put my own stamp on things. Victoria Beckham is my fashion icon because she always looks so groomed.
SHOPPING
Until you drop or avoid at all costs?
I love shopping. If I've got my car I can shop all day because I can pop back to it, drop bags in the boot then head off to the shops again. I like shopping with my mum because she's got a good eye.
HOLIDAYS
Beach or piste?
A beach holiday is my ideal -1 do nothing except read books and get a tan. One of my favourfte places is Dubai. The sea is a beautiful turquoise colour and the sand is white.
FRIENDS
Quantity or quality?
Quality. I can count on two hands the people I would trust and call any time to help me.
ENTERTAINMENT
Intimate dinner or big bash?
An intimate dinner catching up with a close friend is lovely but it's always great to go to a big bash and mingle and have a dance.
APPROACH TO LIFE
Mariana or right now?
I'm right now and yesterday, if possible. I have a notebook in
my handbag for lists and I tick everything off as I do it -I can't tell you how happy that ticking makes me.
The only thing I haven't got round to recently is booking a dental
appointment something that has been on my list for two weeks and is now starting to annoy me.
HOUSEKEEPING
Aggie & Kim or Wayne & Waynetta?
Aggie and Kim. I sometimes think I've got OCD because if someone moves something in my house I know instantly that it's out of place. I do all the cleaning and housework myself because I enjoy it.
CARS
Girl racer or Sunday driver?
I'm a girl racer, as the points on my driving licence prove. Sunday drivers really annoy me. I love cars but I couldn't lift the bonnet and know what the engine was doing. I drive a black Mini Cooper and inside it's a girly world on wheels -I've even got a pink tax disc holder.
MONEY
Rainy day or live for today?
I'm both. On the whole I'm sensible with money but I love good bags and clothes and spend a lot on them, so I could save more.
But when I worry about money I just tell myself: "You're a long time dead."
DECOR
Minimal or cosy?
I prefer a minimal look because there's less mess. I hate clutter and need to know that even behind the cupboard doors everything is organised
HEALTH
Alternative or aspirin?
Aspirin all the way - as a doctor's daughter I was brought up with stories from the wards (and pretty gruesome some of them were, too). If I hadn't been an actress I would have no doubt gone into medicine.
RUBBISH
Bin it or recycle it?
I'm not very good at recycling. I recycle paper but nothing much else it is too time consuming.
FITNESS
Jane Fonda or Jim Royle?
I'm hyperactive and never sit down - even when I'm on the phone I pace about, burning off calories. I find gyms very boring so don't go but I walk my dogs and always take the stairs.
TECHNOLOGY
Gadget girl or technophobe?
I buy gadgets but can never work them. I'm a salesman's worst nightmare. I recently bought an Apple computer and spent an hour asking the salesman daft questions like: "How do I switch this on?"
He was looking at me as if I were mad. I can use a computer in a
basic way. I can send an e-mail but I can't send an attachment -that's my next goal.
PROPERTY
Urban chic or rural retreat?
I was bom and still live in London but when I was appearing in Emmerdale. I fell in with the countryside around Leeds a a small place for weekends. I feel so calm there.Perhaps I'll settle up there one day.

Great getaways-
Emmerdale actress Adele Silva, 26,
who leaves the soap this week, reveals her favourite spots.
"I've been lucky enough to go to Dubai three or four times. It's what I class as paradise; the sea is turquoise, the sand is golden and the weather is always gorgeous. I stay at Le Royal Meridien and the staff there are amazing.
I went to Orlando in Florida with my parents when I was young and I loved it. I really want to go back and revisit all the theme parks.
My mum and I often go down to Brighton. We sunbathe in deckchairs, then we'll go to the pier and look in the cute little shops in The Lanes. We like staying at Hotel Du Vin, a lovely boutique hotel.
I really like eating at the Oxo Tower in London because you get great food and amazing views of the South Bank. If you go there in the evening, you can see all the bridges lit up - it's breathtaking.
The Barge in Rodley, West Yorkshire is one of my favourite pubs. Verity Rushworth, who plays Donna in Emmerdale, lives near there, so we're always popping in. It's so cosy and has great views of the canal."
