Bracknell returns in medical drama 11 hours ago
Emmerdale fans tuning in to period drama Casualty 1907 on BBC One will spot a familiar face among the cast in the final edition of the three-part offering.
None other than Leah Bracknell - best known as Zoe Tate from ITV1 rural soap Emmerdale - is one of the guest stars. She plays Mrs Turner, a woman who goes to the Royal London Hospital and is diagnosed with 'hysteria'. She ends up getting help from the enlightened Swedish Dr Koch, who recommends a massage with the Pulsocon mechanical vibrator.
The Edwardian-set piece is a world away from the machinations of Emmerdale - from which Bracknell is currently on sabbatical - and her famous alter ego Zoe, the lesbian vet.
While the actress may have been used to bedhopping, backstabbing and all manner of soap-related shenanigans, one thing is for sure in this stiff upper-lipped drama - Matron Cherie Lunghi won't have any of that sort of nonsense going on.
Casualty 1907 airs on Sunday, April 13.
