Carl lifted the baby sit out of the car, “God he takes after his mother he weighs a tone,” Carl joked.
“Oi just watch what you’re saying you,” chas said
“Wait don’t go in carl,” scarlet shouted
“Why what have you two done to my house,” Carl said
“Nothing well we have but it’s a surprise for you,” scarlet said
Jimmy and Scarlet led Chas and Carl upstairs, Scarlet opened the door to the nursery, Carl and chas walked in, Carl bent down and bit Oliver on the floor in his car sit, scarlet and jimmy stood at the door and watched them
“Its amazing I love it thanks you so so much its lovely,” chas said throwing her arms and scarlet and hugging her
“Wow wow she didn’t do it alone I help her,” jimmy said
“Jimmy its great thank you I don’t know what to say,” Carl said walking up to his brother and hugging him.

While they was upstairs, Matt pulled up at there house he didn’t want to go in and cause any more trouble so he left the teddy, baby clothes and the bracelet on the door step and place a card on top of it, he took a deep breath rang the door bell and then ran back and got in his car a sped away. Carl ran down the stairs and opened the door, he saw all the stuff on the door so he picked it all up and took it into the sitting room, he sat down on the sofa and opened the card it read “To Carl, Chas, Congratulations on your baby boy Oliver James he’s beautiful and you should be proud parents, Lots of love his uncle Matt.” Carl put the card down on the teddy and picked the bag up, it was full of baby clothes, he pulled one out it was a football kit with Uncle Matt’s number 1 boy on the back, carl put it back in the bag with all the other clothes and pulled out the box that was it in, he opened the box and tears rolled down his checks, it was a gold bracelet with Oliver James King on it, carl closed the box and put in down next to the card.

“Carl who is it,” Chas shouted from upstairs
She didn’t get any answer so her and jimmy come down stairs leaving scarlet with oliver upstairs, the walked into the room where carl was sat crying on the sofa
“Carl what’s up,” Chas said walking over to him
“I need to go somewhere stay hear I want be long,” Carl said getting up and going out of the back door,”
“What’s got into him,” Jimmy said sitting down on the sofa

“Lexi get out my way,” Carl said barging through the door and into the sitting room where matt was sat reading the newspaper
“What do you think your playing at Matt,” Carl shouted, lexi ran in the room after Carl
“Sorry Matt he just barged in,” Lexi said
“Lexi get out this has got nothing to do with you,” Carl shouted at her
“Go on lexi go to the pub or something,” Matt said to her, lexi left the house so matt and Carl were on their own together.
“What do you want Carl,” matt said
“I wana no what your game is Matthew,” Carl shouted, Matt stood up so he was face to face with Carl
“I am not playing games,” Carl shouted
“Matt you want to kill me, you nearly did kill me, you ad a fight with jimmy, then you go and buy my son all that stuff, what are you doing,” Carl said to matt
“Carl please let me explain to you please,” matt pleaded
Carl walked through to the kitchen and poured himself a cup of tea and placed one in front of Matt who followed him through and sat down at the table.
“Come on then Matt I am giving you time to explain yourself now,” Carl said
“Carl I swear I never wanted to hurt you like I did, I was jealous that you was having fun, and then when I saw jimmy with the champagne it really got to me that you was having fun as a family and you hated me, and I really didn’t want to hurt you like I did, I just want to show you how much you was hurting me, and I just got carried away and let all my anger out on you which I shouldn’t of done, I came to see you everyday at the hospital you no, when chas and jimmy went to get something to eat or something I used to come and see you just to make sure you was ok I was so worried I was going to lose you like max, mum and dad, and then when chas had the baby I want to try and say sorry but jimmy hates me as much as you do and I couldn’t tell you I was sorry I want to me part of your life and Oliver’s but I understand that you wont want me to so, I thought I would get him something to show that I am here and I do care for you,” Matt said Carl looked up and he could tell by Matt’s eyes that he meant what he had just said
“Matt you’re my big brother and I want you to be part of are life’s and the presents are wonderful and you so much Matt, you can come over when ever you like to see him, you’re his uncle and an amazing one at that,” carl said
“But Jimmy, Scarlet and Chas all hate me so they want be happy,” Matt said Carl grabbed his arm and squeezed him.
“Matt you tried to kill me and I no now that you didn’t mean it but if I can forgive you then they should be able to,” Carl said, Matt smiled at him and stood up and gave him a big hug “ Thanks for forgiving me Carl and congratulations on becoming a daddy,” Matt said.



“Who’s all this stuff from Jimmy,” Chas asked
“I duno there’s loads,” Jimmy said
“Well have a look in the card then Jimmy,” Chas said
“Chas he’s crying,” Scarlet shouted, chas left Jimmy reading the card and went upstairs to see to Oliver.
Jimmy’s face dropped when he read who the card was from, he put the card on the table and picked the box up, he opened it and saw the bracelet in it, he closed it and put it with the card on the table he read the tag on the teddy which said to Oliver Love Uncle Matt then Jimmy looked in the bag of clothes and put them back down on the floor, Chas walked through the door with Oliver in her arms,
“Well who was they from,” Chas asked Jimmy
“Matt,” He said
“What, what did he send then,” Chas asked
“There’s a card on the table he sent, this massive teddy, a bag full of baby clothes and that box on the table, no wonder carl was crying,” Jimmy said, Chas handed Jimmy Oliver and had a look at the clothes,
“There nice clothes but why would Carl cry over clothes apart from the football kit,” Chas asked
“No Chas look in the box,” Jimmy said
Chas opened the box with the bracelet and jumped when there was a knocking at the door so she shut the box and went to get up,
“Wow where you going,” Jimmy said handing Oliver back to Chas “I will get the door your meant to be resting,”

Jimmy unlocked the door and opened it, Carl and matt were stood at the other side, “why didn’t you let yourself in, its your house,” jimmy asked
“I left my key here when I went,” Carl said walking in followed by Matt and them jimmy, “Nice present Matt,” Jimmy said, when the three brothers walked into the sitting room chas and scarlet both looked round, scarlet saw Matt and she didn’t no what to do so she just ran out of the back door, “Scarlet where you going,” Chas shouted after her, “I will go after her,” Carl said, “No carl, you and chas are meant to be resting,” Jimmy said, “This is all my fault if only I hadn’t come,” Matt said, “No Matt if I can forgive you she should be able to,” Carl said, “Well how about we all go and look for her,” Chas said.


Scarlet didn’t no where she was going she just didn’t want to be anywhere near Matt after what he had done to Carl and Jimmy, she wasn’t aware of the people around her she was just running, she looked back over her shoulder to see if she could see them following her, and she ran into someone and sent them flying as well as her self and she landed on the floor next to them, “Scarlet what do you think your doing,” Lexi shouted at her, “I’m sorry lexi I really didn’t mean to I was just try,” Lexi butted in, “Scarlet calm down and tell me again,” Lexi said, pulling scarlet to her feet. “SCARLET!” Carl shouted when he say her, he ran to her leaving chas stood in the middle of the road with the pushchair, Carl ran up to scarlet and put his hands on her shoulders “Scarlet why did you go running off,” Carl asked her, “I don’t want to be anywhere near Matt after what he did to you,” Scarlet said starting to cry, “Scarlet Matt’s not all that bad and if I can forgive him then surely you can, come on he’s a big softy really, he’s sat on sofa crying cos you have gone,” Carl said “Come Scarlet come home let Matt say what he’s got to say and I have a video you would love to watch it will make you smile,” Carl said laughing and wiping scarlets tears away, Chas caught up to them, “God I wish you two would slow down I have just had a baby you cant expect me to run after you,” Chas said jokingly, Chas put her arm around scarlet as they walked back to the house, carl was pushing the pushchair, “Wait you two,” Carl said pulling his phone out of his pocket and dialling a number, “Jimmy mate we’ve got her on are way home now,” Carl said and then hung up on Jimmy, “Can we go now Carl, do we have you permission to carry on walking,” Chas said laughing at him, and they carried on walking, “THANKS GUYS JUST LEAVE ME!” Lexi shouted across the road, “we will do don’t worry,” Carl said under his breath to which chas and scarlet laughed.


“Matt its only us,” Chas shouted through the door, as she helped Carl lifted the pushchair up the steps, “Have you found her, is she ok,” Matt said coming through the door so he could see them, “Ye she’s here, stick kettle on will ya Matt,” carl said.
Matt, Carl and Scarlet where all sat on the sofa talking, and Matt had told Scarlet everything he had told Carl and said how sorry he was, Chas was sat at the table giving Oliver his bottle, “Guys where’s jimmy we told him scarlet was back at home,” Chas asked sounding worried, “I think I no where he’ll be, he’ll be at the pub,” Matt said, both Carl and Matt looked at Chas and fluttered there eye’s at her, “Go on 20 minutes no more and then I want you both back here,” Chas said to them, but Carl was already up and kissing Oliver goodbye and Matt was stood at the door waiting for him already, “See yas all later then,” They said going out of the door.


Chas laid Oliver down in his moses basket and went and sat on the sofa next to scarlet, “So are you ok now,” Chas said putting her arm around Scarlet, “ye I do now at least Matt told us why made me feel a bit better,” Scarlet said resting her head on Chas shoulder, “Like Carl said scarlet Matt’s a big softy really, he can just get a bit angry and go over the top a bit,” Chas said, “Suppose I have forgiven Matt but Lexi, she’s meant to be my sister and she just stabs me in the back all the time,” Scarlet said getting upset, “Come on Scarlet Lexi is not worth it, and you can stay here as long as you want, well that’s if them three don’t all decide to move back into home farm, which would them mean you was still with us anyway,” Chas said. After about 10 minutes of talking Chas and Scarlet where fast asleep on the sofa.

Carl, Jimmy and Matt came down the path to dale view laughing and joking, Jimmy was singing and when Carl opened and he woke Oliver up with his singing to which he started crying so loud he woke Chas and Scarlet up who were asleep on the sofa. Could you try being abit quieter next time jimmy you woke us all up, chas said angerily walking over to pick Oliver up, what are you three all so jolly about anyway you hated each other an hour back and look at you now, well we had a nice chat and drink at the pub, jimmy said slightly drunk, i think you have had to much to drink jimmy i think you need to go to bed out the way, chas said pushing him towards the stairs, and as for you carl i said one drink you can get up with him in the night then, she said hanging scarlet the baby and going to make some baby milk, come on chas we had stuff to celebrate, carl said following her into the kitchen, ye chas we are so happy that we are all getting along now like brothers, matt said lending through the hatch in the wall, and whos fault was it that you wasnt, chas said looking from him to carl, what is up with you chas cant you be happy, we just had a baby, me matt n jim are all getting on, and we want to move back into home farm again so we can all be one big family again so i agreed so we will be moving back in tomoroow, carl said, chas stormed out of the kitchen and upstairs into the bedroom slamming the door behind her, to which Oliver started crying again, sorry carl i better be getting home now i will come round in the morning to see ya ok nite carlos nite scarlet nite oliver he said leaving the house closing the door quietly behind him, carl finished making the bottle and walked through into the sitting room where scarlet was sat with oliver in her arms, i will see to him you can go to bed now if you want scarlet, carl took oliver off her and sat down next to her on the sofa, well you going or not he said to her, well where can i sleep cos i am not going in the same room as jimmy when hes that drunk, scarlet said, well go in with chas cos i want be going in she hates me so i will sleep down here on the sofa

scarlet walked up the staris and knocked quietly on chas' door, go away carl i dont want to see you, she shouted back, chas its me, scarlet said lending on the door, oh sorry scarlet wots up, chas said sobbingly back to her, can i come in please, chas opened the door and then went back and lyed on the bed scarlet went and sat next to her on the bed, are you ok chas, im fine really just tired, chas said turning her head so scarlet couldnt see her crying, carl said hes sleeping down stairs tonight hope you to are ok i wondered if i could sleep in here with out cos jimmys abit drunk, scarlet whispered, ye sure get in bed, chas said pulling the covers over her.
carl gave oliver his bottle and then wrapped him up in a blanket packed an over night bag up for oliver and lied him in his pram putting his coat on and pulling the bag over his shoulders he pushed the pram out the house shutting the door quietly on the way out so no-one would hear him..........

Carl walked all the way through the village and down the road to where the drive leading to home farm was, its was a cold wet chilly night, tears were rolling down carls face he kept wiping them away with his bluey purple arms, he finally reached the door to home farm, thoughts were rushing through carls head he really didnt no what he was going to do now he was back at his really home, the cold made carl shiver, so he opened the door to home farm and walked inside, Matt Matt are you still awake, carl shouted from the hall way, carl could hear doors opening and shuting untill finally matt opened the door on the right to carl, Carl what are you doing here thought you would be in bed, and as for bring the little one what were you thinking, matt said walking over to the pram to look at oliver, Matt i need you to do me a favour me and chas have had a little argument and well i need to go do something can you look after Oliver for me over night and then well if im not back before you get up in the morning take him home to his mum will you please matt, carl said with a shiver in his voice, matt agree to babysit over night for carl and he took oliver into the living room to warm him up abit more, matt im taking jimmys car ok carl said walking out of the door, before matt could answer him carl had slammed the door shut behind him.

carl didnt no where he was going to go or what he was going to do, he just got in the car and drove round. he had been driving for half an hour when he stopped and pulled over, he took out his phone and looked at the time, it was nearly one in the morning and he had no messages, he looked at the sign posts round him and he didnt have a clue where he was, so he reached into the back of the car and pulled the blanket of the seat and put it over him and he went to sleep.

Back at dale view, chas was picking the post up and scarlet walked into the living room expecting to see carl asleep on the sofa, chas, scarlet shouted, whats up scarlet, chas said walking into the room to scarlet, carls not here and it doesnt look like hes slept here and olivers gone, scarlet said sounding upset, just as chas turned around to go to the phone there was a knock at the door, chas opened the door and matt was stood there with oliver in his arms, omg whats happened wheres carl why have you got the baby, chas shouted at matt, matt pushed his way into the house where it was warm, chas carl came to home farm last night and asked me to look after oliver for him and he said if he wasnt back his morning before i got up i was to bring oliver here to you, and well he wasnt back so here i am will oliver, matt said handing him over, aww my little baby chas said craddling oliver in her aarms, then she looked up to matt and said, well where was he going, chas said,, matt just shrugged his sholders and went and put the kettle on.

Carl woke up freezing cold in the car, he started the engine up and carried on going in to direction he was heading................................................................................................................. ...............................
