Chas arrived home, tired and worn out she flung her bag to the floor and through herself on the couch. She looked down to her big bulging belly and rubbed it. The thought of having another baby scared her slightly, she had failed so badly at being a mother first time round, but with the love and support of Carl she was determined as ever to be a good mum this time. She heard the door open and turned round. ' Hiya baby you ,ok ?' said carl as he entered the living room. 'Ye i'm fine, just a bit tired thats all ' Chas said cheerfully when she saw carl. 'I told you not to go to work, you're 37 weeks pregnant, look why don't you go up and have a warm bath and try and get some sleep' 'I can't Kelly will be back soon and i said i'd help her get things read for tomorrow, i know i should be taking things easier but you're brothers getting married tomorrow babes , and i told Kelly i'd help her .' ' Ye but ....." ' Ye but, nothing look i'm fine just a bit worn out that's all,you'd better go and get ready your staying at the B&B tonight with Jim tonight, he can't see Kelly until tomorrow .' ' Ok but if things get to much just go to your bed and get some sleep, right' said Carl pleadingly. " ye promise '' Chas said looking exhausted. Carl gave her a kiss on the cheek and left, before slowly plodding upstairs to pack an overnight bag. Just a quick story i thought of, let me know what you's think, its my first fan fiction, so go easy on me ,please  |

Later that night, Carl , Matthew and Jimmy are sitting at the bar.
'Well i'm so glad you's two are happy' Matthew muttered sounding almost jelous.
'Ohh shut up!! and have another drink' Jimmy scornfully said handing Matthew another brandy.
'Why you not drinking Carl, it's the night before your big bros wedding' a very drunk matthew said ' Go on have one !!! ' he lifted a glass to carl nose.
Carl, instantly moved the glass with his hand.
'Because in case you forgot, Chas is nearly 9 months pregnant, and the amount of pressure she's been under lately she'll end up having this baby early........and matthew.'
Matthew looked his brother in the eyes.
'I think you've had enough to drink' carl relplied taking the drink from matts hand.
Carl fell in to a deep dream, thinking about everything him and Chas had been through.
He remembered the first time he saw Chas, that cheeky smile and those dazziling eyes, The memory of that first night they'd spent together meant so much to him.
His mind quickly flashed back to the thought of standing on top of that plane, zooming through the sky. His heart was racing but getting the answer he wanted was worth all the drama. All that work, fighting and love, flung away on christmas day, but now he had it all back.
They were taking things slowly, but then Chas discovered she was pregnant, he was so excited about the birth of the baby, a little person that would have his eyes and Chas's smile. He was happier than he'd ever been in his life.
'Carl.....Carl' Jimmy shouted.
Knocking Carl out of his daydream.
' O.... sorry i was thinking' carl replied sounding quite startled.
Matthew butted in ' Well, here's to .... to family' before raising his glass to Jimmy's pint and Carl's Lemonade.
'I wonder how kelly is, shes put so much effort into this wedding, i'm just hoping it all goes to plan, and i've still got something left in my bank acount at the end' Jimmy said laughing slightly.
' I'm sure it will, I hope Chas is ok , she under to much pressure, what with Helping kelly with the wedding, working and family problems up at the dingles' Carl mumbled in a worried tone, he wanted to phone her but he had left his phone at home.
Next thing Matthew handed Carl his phone.
''Go on phone her and check shes ok'' matthew said sounding almost genuinly concered for chas.
Carl got up and headed outside to phone chas.......
Let me know what you's think and then i'll post some more

Home Farm
''Ye ....... okay Carl....... bye'' Kelly hung up the phone and re-entered the lounge.
She looked around Viv, Donna, Carrie, Scarlett and chas were talking, dancing and all seemed to be having a really good time.
Chas got to her feet, and walked over to the door way where kelly was standing.
''That was Carl......seeing if you were alright'' kelly told Chas.
''Ye, i'm fine just a lil-bit tired, i'm gonna head of to bed'' chas mumbled tiredly.
''I can't believe you and Carl will have a baby in a few weeks.....i'll try and get that lot to keep the noise down'' kelly replied nodding towards the drunken crowd in the living room.
''Thanks'' chas said, yawning.
''See you in the morning...and remember if you don't feel up to coming tomorrow you don't have to ....... ok'' Kelly said reasuringly.
'' I'l be fine......ok'' chas replied before heading upstairs.
When she reached the landing she turned left, and opened the door.
Chas smiled looking round the room, it was the nursery her and Carl had spent months decorating, she walked over to the cot, looking down she could imagine her and Carl laying there baby down to sleep.
Chas's eyes scanned the room, she looked at the teddies set out around the room, the baby bath sitting in the corner, the picture of her and carl that they had put up on the wall, and all the tiny baby gro's, she was suddenly overwhelmed with this motherly maternal feeling.
Tears filled her eyes.
She pulled herself together and walked across the hall to her and carls room, before changing and climbing in to bed. She nodded of straight away, even though the noise downstairs was really loud.........

The next day, Jimmy, Matthew and Carl were at the church, waiting.
Ashley came out.
''Right Jimmy you ready, guests are starting to gather outside, shall i let them in'' ashley said in his usual kind tone.
''Ye.....ooo....i'm really nervous, what if Kelly does a runner.....or...'' said Jimmy , before carl interuppted
''It'll be fine....ok, she'll be here' Carl turned round as the door opened' Hiya babes, you ok?''he said to chas as she entered.
''Ye , fine...kelly will be here in about 10 minutes''chas replied
Ashley spoke up'' Right get in positions then boys, and i'll get Jasmine to get all the guests in and seated.''
The doors opened and guests started to flow in, jimmy toke his position at the top of the church, with Carl and matthew behind him, soon all guests were sitting in the church, chas sat down in the front row beside bob.
Suddenly the doors opened and kelly entered wearing a long white gown, holding red roses, with hair beautifully styled.......as she walked down the aisle everyone commented on how gorgeous she looked. All of a sudden Chas had a sudden twinge in her stomach, but she kept quite through out the service.......

After the service, everyone gathered outside as kelly through the boquet, without anyone noticing chas wondered round the corner, with criplling stomach pains, she was determined to get throught the day.........
Round the corner she heard jimmy telling everyone to start heading up to Home Farm, for a meal, drinks and a dance......he and kelly jumoed into the wedding car that was waiting outside the church.
Matthew got into the other car......'carl come on' he said.
''ye i'll follow......where's chas?'' he replied in a worried tone, before turning on his foot and walking round the corner.
The cars sped off, and all other guests started to make there way up to home farm.
As carl turned the corner he seen Chas sitting on the bench holding her stomach, in agony....
''Chas, you aw'right .... whats wrong?'' Carl said looking scared.
''Catching he breathe chas replied '' i'm fine i just don't feel great thats all......look lets get up to home farm...ok.''
''As long as you're ok, you're contractions haven't started have they''
'' No, look i'm fine come on '' chas replied taking carls hand.
They both got up.
''Can we walk home, i just need a bit of fresh air''
''Course we can'' carl said, giving chas a kiss on the cheek.
they started to walk, even though Chas was in agony.......

20 minutes had past Chas, was just taking the pain as it hit her, today was Jimmy and Kelly's day not hers.
''could you walk a bit slower''Carl sarcasticaly said.
''Well walk ahead if you want ..... i don't care'' Chas snapped.
''I was only joking......, you ok , you seem kinda funny''
''ye, i just wanna get home maybe we should of got a taxi'' chas said
''well we'll be home in 15 minutes.......''
Chas was looking away from carl, in agony, hoping he didn't see how much pain she was in.
Carl looked round at her, but she just kept on turning her head futher round.
''What is it chas......are you sure you're ok'' carl said in an almost angry tone, he hated it when chas kept things from him.
''ye............'' but she couldn't keep it in anymore, she screamed out in agony as she felt a contraction ''arghhhhhhhhh...............''
'' Chas you toldme you were ok..... '' carl said
''Please don't be angry at me, look i can't walk......much ......more, arghhhhhhh!!!''
There was a bench up ahead.
''Right.....come on'' Carl said, holding chas's hand seeing she was in agony' we can sit on the bench for ten and then try and get back''
''ok.......''chas said catching her breath.
all of a sudden her waters broke..........

At Home Farm
The wedding reception was in full swing, kelly and jimmy had, cut the cake and danced for a bit but where now in the kitchen with Matthew and Carrie.
'Where is Carl and Chas?'' Jimmy frustratidly asked.
''I know, I mean Carl said he was going to find Chas, but that was like, hours ago'' Matthew replied.
''Look why don't yous get back to the party, it is your wedding jim, i'll takr the car and have a drive about, ........ok.......i take it you've tried his phone'' She asked wairily , know what the reply would be.
Jimmy looked at her stupidly and spoke'' Yes ''
Jimmy, Kelly and Matthew left the kitchen and went back to the party, and Carrie exited from the back door and jumoed in to her car.
MeanWhile
Carl was walking around in cirlces trying to get a signal on his phone.
''Ye ,well walking in circles is helping ain't it'' Chas said
Carl was about to snap back, but then remembered that chas was in labour and in alot of pain.
''How you holding up'' Carl said walking over and sitting next to Chas, before taking her hand.
''How do you think'' She shouted back. She was breathing heavily holding Carl's hand
"Just keep on breathing....look do you think you can walk back, i can't get a signal on my phone"
Chas got to her feet before, falling back on to the bench in agony
"right stay here....and i'll try and find someone or get a phone"carl said, standing up, chas was still holding on to his hand, as he turned round he saw tears running down Chas's cheeks.
"Please don't leave me here......Arghhhhh.....this baby's coming now...... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this isn't supposed to happnen like this....." Chas pleasing replied.
