Carl started to panic he didn't know what to do. They where miles away from Home Farm and the village it was starting to get dark no one would drive past now.
'Just keep on breathing when you get a contraction, baby.....ok' carl tried to reasure chas that everything would be alright, although he was starting to panic himself, if no one came what would he do, he couln't deliver a baby....
At that point Chas felt the urge to push....carl felt the grip on his hand getting tighter.
'Carl....this......babys.....coming...now....'chas managed to say before feeling another contraction.
Carl thought he had to be strong for chas , she was more frightened and upset than he was, at that point when carl looked round he could see carries car coming round the corner......

'Arghhhhhhhhh' chas was screaming in pain.
'Look baby, its Carrie.....' carl said with the biggest smile on his face he was so releavied someone was here.
Carrie drove over, turned the engine of and stepped out the car, before running over to chas and carl.
Carl stood up, and faced away from chas while talking to carrie.
'how far apart are her contractions ? '
'Every minute or so look, i don't know what to do, she needs to push and she can't walk, i mean she can't have the baby here. 'carl replied.
Carrie stood thinking for a minute, before turning to carl.
'Right go and get the blankets that are in the back of my car, and my bag out the front seat.....we'll need to deliver the baby here' Carrie said before turning and walking over to chas.
Carl took the keys and went to the car.
' how you holding up there sweet-heart' carrie said while taking chas hand, ' just squeeze my hand when you get a contraction ...ok'
Chas nodded back not being able to catch her breath to reply.
Carl walked over with three blankets and carrie handbag.
'Right we need to get you in a better position before you can start pushing...ok' carrie said reasuringly.
chas nodded and went along with what carrie said.......

It was about ten o'clock at night, the party was still as lively as ever at home farm.
It was starting to get dark not a car had drove past in hours, and Chas was becoming quite scared she couldn't have a baby on the side of a road.
Carrie had helped chas move so it was easier for her to have the baby. Carl was sitting by her side, telling her how well she was doing, carrie came back over from the car.
'Right i've phoned an ambulance but theres' been an accident a few miles down the road so they might not get here for a bit, ok......you need to keep on going ok, stedy breathing and if you need to push just tell us ok' carrie said.
chas nodded her head, she was absolutly exhausted, she didn't have the energy to keep on going.
Carl felt the grip on his hand becoming tighter by the second.
'Chas.....do you need to push?' he asked her in a calm tone, although to be honest he was scared as well.
'Ye, arghhhhhhhhhhhh' she screamed out in agony.
carrie was over at the car trying to get the ambulance to hurry up when she heard the screams. she ran over.
'Carrie you have to do something' carl pleaded
'like what' carrie replied
'Well i don't know your the nusre, have you never delivered a baby before' he said shouting back.
'Ye of course i'm the nurse......right, give me the blankets over' she told carl
'Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh'
'Right... chas look at me , when you get your next contraction you need to push ok....' carrie said.
chas felt a contration coming she held carls hand and pushed as hard as she could.
'And again babes ok your doing great' carl reasured her.
Chas pushed again and suddenly heard her babys' cry.
Carl had tears in his eyes.
'Its a girls' carrie shouted out, quite proud of herself for helping deliver the baby, she wrapped her up and handed her to chas.
Chas and carl kissed before looking down at thier gorgeous daugher....

Chas and Carl just sat there, a bit in shock really, chas couldn't believe she had a daughter, she looked down at her, she looked like carl.
'Will you' be ok to walk over to the car' carrie said .... there was silence for a minute....
Chas jolted ' ye...ye'
' I'll give you's two a minute..ok'
'thanks' carl replied looking up at carrie.
'She's perfect....looks just like her mum' Carl said.
'You think....you thought of any names you like...' chas asked a bit warey of what the reply would be.
'well i like the name.....Ellie, but i mean.....if you don't like it.....'carl mumbeled.
'I love it' Chas replied before giving her daughter a kiss on the forehead.
Carl smiled at Chas and Ellie, she looked like a perfect mum.
'Right lets get you's to the car then'
Carl slowly help chas up, and supported her as she walked with Ellie in her arms over to carries car.

It was just coming up for about quarter to twelve at night, Carl was holding Ellie, and carrie was helping chas who was plodding along like a penguin. They were at the hotten general, maternity ward walking up to the reception.
Carrie helped chas sit down on the chairs in the reception, carl sat down beside her while holding there beautiful daughter. Carrie headed up to the front desk.
'' Hi there how can i help you? '' the receptionist asked in a friendly voice.
''Hi, ye my ....my friend went into labour and we didn't have time to get to the hospital'' Carrie replied pointing over to carl and chas.
''Right well. you've done the right thing bringing her in, if you can get her or her partner to fill out these forms, and i'll get a midwife to come through and take her thorugh to the ward, and check mum and baby over'' the nice receptionist replied.
''Thanks, we'll just be sitting over here'' carrie said.

A few minutes later a midwife came out and headed over to Carl and Chas.
''Hiya, right do you want to come through, you could probably do with a lie down'' The midwife said in a kind tone.
Carl helped chas stand up, and started to walk through, holding Ellie, to a private room on the maternity ward.
''I'll give jimmy and matthew a call and give them the good news, they'll probably all be passed out on the floor by now though'' Carrie said laughing.

In the room
''Right, can i have a hold of......'' the midwife said
''Ellie''Chas interupted
''Ellie, and check her over, i'll clean her up and put a baby gro on her....is that ok'' the midwife asked.
''Ye course it is''Carl replied
''Can i ask you to get changed into this [ handed chas a hospital gown ] and i'll be back in five and then i'll give you a check over, then she'll probably want to have a cuddle with her mummy and a feed '' the midwife said.
''Ye''
''I'll just go and get some towels and a baby gro, and you can get changed will you's be ok for five'' the midwife asked in a nice tone.
''Ye thats fine'' Carl replied.
The midwife left the room.....
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU'S THINK.....DO YOU WANT IT TO BE A HAPPY ENDING?....OR WILL SOMETHING HAPPEN OR BE WRONG WITH ELLIE? LET ME KNOW

Well something has to go wrong doesn't it, its Chas and Carl? But so long as Chas/Carl and Ellie come through in the end it should be fine!

Five minutes later two midwifes came into the room, one asked to see Ellie and took her over to the other side of the room where she checked her over, and one came over to check Chas.

The wedding reception was still in full swing at Home Farm, most of the guests where outside in the marquees dancing and having a laugh. Matthew, Jimmy and Kelly where all worried about where Carl, Chas and Carrie where, but thought not much more of it, and re-joined the party.
Scarlett had went in to the lounge to sit by herself for a bit, it was about 1am and she was getting tired, suddenly the phone rang.......
''Hiya, darling how are you?'' Carrie asked
''Mum, where are you?where have you been?everyone's been worried sick, have you seen Carl or Chas?'' Scarlett managed to get out in one sentence when she picked up the phone.
''We're all fine, pet we're at the hospital.......''
''Hospital, why? are you ok? have you hurt yourself?''Scarlett replied in her usual speedy tone.
''Scarlett, we're fine, I'll be home in about twenty minutes, i was just phoning so you can give everyone the good news..''
''What good news'' Scarlett interrupted again, sounding a bit fed-up
''Chas, has had the baby, it's a little girl, Ellie'' Carrie replied in a cheery tone.
''Really, is she ok, when did this happen, how did you know?''
''Look its a long story, can you just let everyone know and I'll be home as soon as possible .... ok''Carrie said.
''Ye, course, see you soon, bye mum''
''bye''
Scarlett hung up the phone, and walked out the front door, heading over to the party.
When she entered the marquee she saw Jimmy, Matthew and Kelly all standing together, she headed over.
''You aw'right kid, you must be tired'' Jimmy asked
''Ye, ye I'm fine...look I've got something to tell yous'''
''What?''Kelly said looking confused
''That was ma mam on the phone, shes' been with Carl and Chas, everyones' fine especially the newest edition to the family'' Scarlett added quite pleased she got to deliver the good news.
''You what'' Matthew said shocked '' Chas has ad the baby''
''Yes, she has, its a little girl, they've called her Ellie, ma mum will be home soon so you can ask her all the questions, i'm of to my bed night'' a tired Scarlett replied. Sounding to tired to care really.

Meanwhile at the hospital.
The midwife handed Ellie back to chas, she was starting to work up a cry.
''She seems fine, you's two are lucky, i think she might be hungry though. Are you's ok or do you want me to stay'' The midwife asked Carl and Chas in a friendly voice.
''No...no we're fine thanks''Chas replied, yawning
''Well i'll be back in a few hours to check on yous' , and try and get some sleep,ye, sounded like quite a tiring labour you had'' The midwife said laughing.
''Ye, it was, can Carl stay tonight''
''Ye, i suppose seen as how its so late, yous should be out in a few days anyway''
''Thanks'' Carl replied to the midwife.
She left, and chas slowly sat up and stared to feed Ellie.
Carl look at chas feeding thier daughter and he was filled with this warm glow he was so happy.

At Home Farm
The next morning, Matthew was awoke by Carrie about 8am, she had thought that she better leave Jimmy and Kelly alone they didn't go to bed till late and she figured they wouldn't have got much sleep.
Matthew was slowly walking downstairs with a bad hang over, he turned and headed to the kitchen.
''Glad your up, Jasmine can't make it this morning so you'll need to help me get this place tidy before jimmy and Kelly get up, then you can go and put on some decent clothes then maybe visit your niece'' Carrie said in a very stern tone
Matthew didn't have the energy to argue. '' Yes, mother'' He sarcastically said saluting to carrie.

Meanwhile at the hospital
Chas was slowly awoke to noise in the corridor, she looked round and saw carl fast asleep on the chair beside her bed. She looked round further to see Ellie, she looked sort of funny, but she figured it was because she had just woke up.
She slowly stood up and grabbed her dressing gown and tied it round her waist. She walked over to the small hospital cot Ellie was in she looked down at her daughter, she looked strange, in fact she looked kind of blue-ish, all of a sudden her tiny daughter was sort of gasping for breath. Chas started to panic.
''CARL,Carl wake - up''Chas shouted, panicy
Carl slowly came round. yawning
''What is it babes" he said sounding tired.
''Carl, look at Ellie, what wrong with her........" chas started to hyper-ventilae.
Carl stood up and went over to ellie , his face went pale.
''GO and get a nurse" he said, in shock
Chas ran out of the room, shouting for help
Carl picked up his daughter, who was gasping for breath, she was so tiny, what was happening, he didn't understand.
Suddenly a midwife ran into the room, and grabbed ellie of carl.
Chas at this point had tears streaming down her face, carl slowly wrapped his arms around her, unsure of what was happening, he tried to reasure her.
The midwife, pressed the call button which was besdie chas's bed, another midwife came in ......
