Carl and Aaron had just got in the car, and Carl noticed Aaron looked lke he was ready to cry, as he was putting the key on the ignition he turned to Aaron, you ok mate Carl asked , , Aaron turned his head towards the window so his tears could not be seen, Carl headed off with a stunned Chas and Scarlet standing watching. why ye think he acted like that Scarlet asked Chas, I dont know Chas replied her voice shaking,It cant be Carl Scarlet said to Chas or he wouldnt have let him take him home , Well its obviously me then isnt it Chas snapped not appreciating Scarlets comments, Sorry I was just saying thats all scarlet said, Well dont Chas said walking back in . Why the hell did he offer to take him Chas said , he must be trying talk him round Scarlet said, do ye think so Chas said , its just that I dont know why he would carry on like that, I do Thomas said putting his game back on , go on then Smarty pants tell us Scarlet replied,is it because of me Chas said, no , When I said the other day you and dad would get married he said his mum would never get married again and I said how do you know he said he just does she dosent like staying with one man to long , and he said dad likes to have lots of girlfriends too so you would never get married, Oh very nice Chas said, he really knows us two dosent he.yea well he was glad he said because if you got married he would not be able to go out with Scarlet because that would be sick because they would be related, Oh Chas said suddenly realissing , Scarlets face had turned the colour of her name at the thought thit Aaron actually liked her that much.I had a bet with him Thomas contnued oh ye Chas replied, and what was that, I bet him £5 that you and dad would get married, Thomas started laughing as he realised Aaron owed him£5. So , thats why your happy for us then Chas replied. and I thought it was because you liked me.Thomas just made a boyish laugh as he got embarrissed.
Chas ,Anya joined in , do you think Scarlet can teach me to to do your hair for the wedding, Chas laughed as she thought Anya was so sweet and was glad both Carls kids were happy for them. I think I might have to go to the hair dresses for that sweet heart , Chas replied to Anya but am sure the lady will do your hair for you too. oh Yes Anya replied and Can I have a pretty pink dress, oh we will have to see about that one Chas replied I cant have you looking prettier than me now can I, Chas ,Anya said you will be the bride , brides are always the prettiest, Chas couldnt help but laugh at how girly Anya was she had everyhing planned in her little head Chas thought, how sweet.

Meanwhile, Carl had pulled over to have a word with Aaron he thought he would try to get to the bottom of the problem without Chas he knew thought Chas might fly of the handle with him and make things worse, Carl knew he never had a problem with him they had got on well all week and Aaron had even stayed longer than they agreed so he knew it couldnt be much.

So come on Carl said spill the beens ,What Aaron said , tell me carl said , tell you what Aaron said still looking out of the window because he was close to tears, Is it me Carl asked knowing it wasnt, look you said you was going to take me home, well to be honest I would love you to stay, well if you wont take me I will have to walk wont I Aaron said opening the door, dont be stupid Carl said grabbing his arm back its to far, but Carl lost his grip and Aaron jumped out onto the pavement and stated to run down the road.Carl followed in the car untill he reached him , come on mate get in Carl said , At this point Aaron was just walking, trying his best not to make eye contact. Carl parked the car up and started walking along side Aaron , Look why dont you leave me alone Aaron said as he started walking faster, Carl grabbed Aarons arm again why dont you just tell me Carl snapped , Its her Aaron said who Carl replied , her she always spoils things for me , so you meen your mum then , What has she spoilt Carl asked, everything Aaron replied. look Carl said we cant put it right if we dont know what it is , Carl grabbed him come on ive had enough tell me, Aaron was facing Carl as Carls stronger grip would not let him budge, its Scarlet Aaron replied red faced, what Carl said shaking his head as to say he diddnt understand, what about Scarlet, I like her I think she is nice , Well ye she takes after her big Brother, but whats that got to do with anything. You know Aaron said shyly ,no I dont why dont you tell me Carl said Confused, but laughing at Aarons shyness at girls, look I knew you would be like this thats why I dont want to tell you, Hey am sorry Carl said seriously why dont you explain. I told you already Ilike her ,And Carl replied, oh get lost Aaron said you know what I mean, no Carl replied honestly I dont, Then your stupid Aaron said and mum Should dump you.Well maybe she should Carl said but that dosent solve our problem , duhhhhhhhh well if you marry mum Scarlet will be my aunt kinda, and that will be sick, Carl went into a fit of laughung, what Aaron said everyone already skits mums family because of that, Aaron Carl said you and Scarlet are no relation, well we will be Aaron said , no Carl replied, yes maybe it would be strange if you had known each other for years , or even if she was my daughter, but there is no problem , and anyway you are both young you will have a lot more girlfreinds to come believe me, Carl give Aaron a wink as he smilled, and Aaron laughed, and dont tell your mum or Scarlet I said that or I certainly wont be getting married carl said.So you dont reakon its sick then Aaron asked no I dont , Know shut up and lets get home we have a wedding to organise. As they where walking back to the car Aaron said you know when you said Scarlet looked like her big Brother, yeah Carl replied did you mean Matt Aaron asked cheekily, Hey you better keep on the right side of me Carl replied if you want to take my sister out, Aaron laughed as they both got in the Car and headed home.

The day had come for Aaron to go home he had school the next day and he reluctantly agreed he had to go back . He had enjoyed his time at Home farm and he had told Scarlet he would come back to visit as much as possible although he was worried it might be hard at times as his mum and dad haven't always seen eye to eye. Aaron was in his room packing his bags when Chas walked in rather sheepishly she didn't want to say the wrong words just before he was leaving and knew it was important to let him know how much it meant to her to keep on seeing him , Chas was so worried she would say the wrong thing she had been awake all night and the strain was showing on her face as she walked through the door.

Hello sweetheart Chas said as she entered the room, whats up Aaron said as he looked up and could see she was worried , oh nothing its just , Chas paused , I hope this is not goodbye thats all , Chas said, Look am sorry for not contacting you I know it was along time but I would love to carry on making it up to you , Yeah I hope so to , Aaron replied its been great , and Carl's not bad either although I remember I used to hate him , But I suppose he's OK Aaron continued, as he was tidying around making sure the room would not be left messy, What are you doing Chas said, you don't need to do all this , Yes but if I leave it clean they wont mind me staying again thats all Aaron replied, Aaron Chas said laughing there wont be any problem there will always somewhere to stay and anyway they wont even notice the cleaner will have it sorted in no time, Aaron stopped and sat on the bed. He looked up at his mum I missed you mum he said , I remember when I came here I was so horrible to you sometimes because I knew that dad would always take my side, Chas interrupted no son it was my fault I am your mum I should have known how to look after you properly but I was a failure as i am with most things. No Mum I knew what I was doing I remember going Home and crying into my pillow so many times, because I knew I caused you so much pain, Every time I was expecting never to see you again , and when you did Iwould just do the same again , I don't know why I did that Aaron Continued, Look Chas said its not your fault I should have made sure you never wanted to feel like that, to be honest Aaron Ive only just learnt how to show how much I love people around me , Chas grabbed Aaron in her arms , I'm sorry for being such a crap mum and I promise to be a better one from now on , Thats unless you think its to late , no Aaron replied hugging Chas back I have loved our time together and I hope to come and see you and Carl , oh and the two little monsters every week end , especially the little squirt he is so much fun , and he keeps saying am going to be his big brother so I can't lit my new little bro down now can .Come on Chas said , Carl is waiting to take you home Chas said , as she whipped the tears away from her eyes , They both stood up and hugged one another once more before they left the room.

Aaron and Chas made their way down stairs where everyone was waiting to say goodbye, Even Matt and Jimmy stayed to say goodbye although they wouldn't have admitted it you could tell Aaron had touched there hearts too.

When Aaron got to the bottom of the stairs Thomas and Anya came running over to him, Aaron didn't really know where he stood with Anya until now with her being a girl he spent more of his time with Thomas and was quite surprised when Anya came running, Aaron she said Jumping at him Typical Anya Carl thought as he smiled at them, Aaron laughed too as he hugged her back then kissed her cheek, Don't expect me to kiss yeah Thomas said as he put his hand out to shake with Aaron, Aaron took his hand and pulled him in close Give him a slight hug and let him go as they both smiled a uneasy smile at each other. You ready then mate Carl asked, as Aaron had said his goodbye.s to every one except Scarlet , It was obvious to every one they embarrassed that every one was watching them and Carl being Carl had to put a dig in, come on Aaron you not going to say goodbye to Scarlet I would have thought she would be the first person you would want to say good bye to Come on give her a kiss and lets get off,. Scarlet and Aaron looked at each other embarrassed , Leave them alone Carl Jimmy said don't you know when to stop your a torment at times , Everyone looked at Carl with disappointment at his Comment , What Carl said with a half laugh, your a clown Matt said as he and Jimmy set off for a pint in the woolly, Chas just shook her head at Carl ,Come on she said lets leave them for a minute and put Aaron's stuff in the car.

Aaron and Scarlet where left alone in the parlor to say goodbye to one another they just stood there for a moment shy , neither of them new why the other was shy because they had spent most of Christmas together, Well I suppose I will see you again soon Aaron said , I hope so Scarlet replied . well mum said If its OK with dad I can come down on the weekends Aaron replied so I hope I will see you next Friday night we can go the pictures or something if you like of course Scarlet replied looking at the floor, whats up Aaron asked , nothing Scarlet said as he noticed she had a tear in her eye , What if your dad says no , he wont Aaron said I don't care am sixteen soon anyway, he put his arms around Scarlet and held her tight I promise he said I will be back, Come on now time to go Chas shouted as they packed the car, Aaron let go of Scarlet and walked out to the car holding her hand, Aron got in the Car and Carl set off driving with Aaron and Scarlet waving to each other until they had lost sight of one another.

It was the first day back at school for Thomas and Anya after the holidays and Carl was looking forward to spending sometime with Chas on his own, He thought they could go shopping or even just for dinner as he was needed in work in he afternoon he thought they would go out early and spend the morning together.

Come on Carl said opening the curtains the kids have gone ages ago, you said you would be up early this morning , come on hurry up I have to be back for 1.30 for work , Chas started getting up, what time is it she replied ,quarter to eight Carl replied, Carl shops don't open until nine o'clock there is loads of time. yeah well I thought you could take your time getting ready put some thing nice on for me since its been a while since we have been out and about together, Chas looked up at him . oooooooh sounds promising she replied you must be taking me somewhere nice, Well you wont find out will yeah unless you hurry up, and anyway he replied may be I just want my woman to look nice, well in that case Chas replied that makes you a chauvinistic pig so jeans and top it is then , no Carl replied just a joke I will see if I can find somewhere nice for dinner but you need to hurry up.Chas went for a shower, while Carl started thinking where he could take her for dinner, he didn't even know whether they had time for dinner , but he hopped they would .

Half an hour later Chas was ready, she was dressed in a nice but comfortable black dress witch Carl had said many times looked sexy on her, Look Chas said as she walked in I didn't want to be going shopping looking like am in a night club so I Hope am OK I can wear sensible shoes with this dress any way, OK Carl replied you look beautiful , Carl started putting his Jacket on and shouted Jimmy down, Yeah hang on am coming now Jimmy shouted, What do you want him for Chas asked hes coming with us Carl replied, What for Chas looked puzzled, Because Ive booked my car in for a service and I need a lift, Its OK Carl we can go out tomorrow get your car sorted today Chas replied , no were ready now and anyway Matt's taking my car so we have got all morning , if he hurries up Jimmy Carl shouted again as Jimmy was coming down the stairs. About time , come on get a move on , oh shut up Jimmy replied you have plenty of time. Carl was getting agitated and Chas picked up on it Carl what are you up to Chas asked puzzled,nothing come on lets get out, were not going shopping are we Chas said to Carl yes Isaid we are so we are, they all got in the car ,Carl got in the front next to Jimmy and Chas was left to get in the back which Chas also found strange he would normally sit with her, Jimmy set off, Chas just knew something was going on Carl as up-to something but she just never knew what,

They had been driving for about 10 minutes, come on Jimmy Carl said put your foot down , Well we would be there by now if you give me the right directions , Both brothers were getting annoyed with one another and Chas could tell , Are any of you two going to tell me where we are actually going Chas said for the umpteenth time, NO Jimmy and Carl said simultaneously sounding annoyed, OK so-rry Chas replied as she felt the pressure of there voices, so come on where no Jimmy asked , I don't know the maps wrong Carl said , Chas started laughing , never ask him directions he is rubbish he gets lost going to Viv's shop. Yeah Jimmy replied thats because the woolly is on the way back , they all started laughing , Hey this is it Carl suddenly said we are here, stop here let me out Carl said , You sure Jimmy said yeah Carl said I know where I am, Carl we are nowhere there is no shops here come on just get out Carl said as he opened the back door for Chas who was bewildered by the fact they seemed to be in the middle of a industrial estate. do you want me to wait in case Jimmy asked them , Yes Chas said no Carl interrupted honestly I know where I am, OK Jimmy replied good luck see you later, and Jimmy drove off.So come on Carl whats the big secret ,there isn't one Carl said looking round, actually Chas he said I think I was wrong, mmmmmmmm Carl turned round erm he said , Carl phone Jimmy back now Chas said hang on am sure this was the place , come on lets walk around for a bit see if I can figure it out Chas was walking with him arms folded in front of her looking rather annoyed, Carl I want to know where am going now or I will call a taxi myself , oh will you shut up and let me think I thought I knew where i was perhaps if you hadn't kept going at me, Me Chas snapped back at him, Hang on , Carl said the phone is going, oh go on answer the phone and don't forget to tell who ever it is we are lost. Its ready the vice on the other end of the phone said as they heard Chas moaning in the background, OK Carl said , is it for her he voice replied , rather you than me mate she sounds like a right battle axe, Carl laughed. its just because were lost you see, Am to blame for every think , Take it you needed to waste time the voice said yes Carl replied ,were are you then the voice said bet your around the corner at the back of the shop arnt you , How did u guess Carl replied , the voice laughed , get round here lets have a laugh. OK so if I follow the road round turn right there is a taxi rank Carl said thanks , Carl put the phone down, Well who was that , oh someone from the wedding shop I made an appointment for a fitting for you but we have missed it now they told me how to get home though. Come on this way we said we didn't want a massive wedding any way Chas said annoyed, it was a dress for Christs sake Chas you still need a dress. they were still arguing as they turned the corner Carl stopped and Chas was still moaning you bring me all the way up here in the middle of January and am freezing Cold , Chas was standing with her back to Carl and her arms folded, it never occurred to her where she was standing. or she never noticed the tall dark haired salesman slip something in Carl's hand,so where is this so called taxi rank or have you got them directions wrong as well, Well I thought you could drive us home Carl replied , oh shu Chas was cut of as she turned round to see Carl leaning back on a car swinging keys round on his index finger baring a broad I gotcha smile, she was outside Williams the biggest BMW dealer in the country. Chas just stirred at Carl in disbelief , she was stood rooted to the spot she couldn't move , well you going to get bin or what as Carl moved out the way she realized he wanted her to drive this top of the range BMW Convertible brand new , What you want me to test drive it Chas said not knowing what to make of it , Just get in Carl replied and he opened the drivers door on the seat was a bunch of 24 red roses with a card witch read , Just to show what you mean to me,me a Car A BMW Chas said not just any BMW the salesman said a 630i sport convertible, Shes worth it Carl replied , oh Carl I don't know what to say Chas replied, Say lets go home am freezing Carl jumped in the passenger seat hey use the door Chas said joking. Come on then Carl said lets go you want some food don't you Carl said, and you can pay, Chas just looked at Carl with a tear in her eye as she started her new car for the first time. hey wait Carl said as he reached over and wiped her tear away I told you I never forgot your Christmas present. as she smiled back she could feel more tears entering her eyes.

Back in the village , Chas couldn't`t wait to show off in her new car . They went to Pear tree first because Carl had work and he promised he would be in. they had already give the car a run up the motor way and after they had their dinner Carl was about half an hour later than he told Jimmy and Matthew,

Afternoon Matt said as Carl and Chas walked through the door , sorry Carl said we got abit carried away ,Yeah Matt replied well you can start doing the work your paid for in future , we can`t keep carrying you Carl , now chas's fine and the kids are settled you can get stuck in, OK I will Carl replied getting annoyed , OK well I think I will let you lot get on with it Chas said as she started to walk out the door. Hey hang on Jimmy called after her, I want to see that car, Yeah me too Matt replied as they all walked out to see it.

Well can I have a spin or not Matt asked , No Carl said we've work to do remember , no you have Matt said as he grabbed the keys off Chas , come on Jim lets go for a spin , Jimmy jumped in the car and they both sped off , To Carl's annoyance, what the hell did you give them the keys for, specially him he will rag it just to get at me. Am sorry OK he just snatched them , he was to quick, Carl just stood there annoyed , well I can't wait to see the car when they have finished with it Carl replied as he walked back into Pear Tree With Chas following him.
just down the road Matt and Jimmy had stooped the car looking over it , I know Jim shall we call out a breakdown service to take the car back see his face when we turn up with it on a truck, theres nothing wrong with it Jimmy replied , yeah I know but didn't you just see his face imagine what it will be like if he see.s it on a truck, Your evil Jimmy replied , don't you think thieve been through enough lately. Oh come on Jim .he'll see the funny side , Yeah Jimmy replied after hes flattened one of us. but there was no stopping Matt he was already on the phone to a breakdown company, shaking his head at Matt Jimmy asked what are you going to tell them there isn't any think wrong with the car, but it was to late Matt had already made arrangements to have the breakdown people come out.Come on know all what are you going to tell them, oh shut up Jim its amazing what a bit of money can do we'll have a laugh just watch.
Matt's phone started ringing , Matt looked at it blimey it didn't take him long to get panicky Matt said to Jimmy as he let his phone ring, Ain't you going to answer it then Jimmy asked no let him sweat ,Matt jimmy replied, Jimmy smiled as he started getting used to the idea, Just then Jimmy's phone started ringing, he was just about to answer when Matt shouted leave it, to which Jimmy obeyed and Jimmy put his phone back in his pocket.

Back at Pear Tree Carl was getting anxious and was trying to phone Jimmy for the umpteenth time, Answer your phone you idiot he was shouting at the phone, Carl , Chas said it will be OK there having a go of the car thats all, it will be OK They will be back soon just leave them , the more you phone them the longer they will be they know your getting wound up , Chas said sitting acting like there was nothing wrong, Carl gave her a disapproving look, What Chas said as she looked up at Carl and saw the way he looked at her, nothing Carl replied I like the way you like it though sitting there like nothings wrong, What do you mean Chas replied, well your sitting there not even bothered you don't care is that it, whatever Carl, Chas replied you always have to blow things up out of all proportion lately am not surprised your getting wound up by them your an easy target Chas replied and am sorry you don't think I care but their your brothers and I trust them OK. Yeah Carl said so when you get it back does that mean you will go letting everyone in it all your family let them all rag it to bits , oh I was wondering when my family would get dragged into this Chas said you just can't help yourself can you Carl paused for a moment, Am sorry OK your right I am panicking for no think am sorry, the room fell silent , for a minute , and Carl broke the ice , Fancy a brew he said as he walked over to the kettle on.

Back at the car the breakdown truck had just arrived and as the mechanic was getting out of the wagon he looked at the car , nice car he said , brand new as well not often we come across something like this, whats up he said as he walked over to the car, Jimmy and Matt both looked at each other , each prompting the other to speak first, Your idea Jimmy said nodding at Matt, said Erm well,nowt actually , we have a proposition for you, What its not stolen is it, No Jimmy sad showing the paperwork to the mechanic, look here is my driving license its my brother he bought his girlfriend the car , we are just playing a trick thats all. oh the mechanic said checking out the paper work, against Jimmy's driving license , look here is mine as well were all brothers, all we want Matt said is the car to be taken back on your truck so we can see his face we will make it worth your while Jimmy added. Mmmmmmmm he mechanic answered but I have to put something down on the sheet, Cant you just say it was a false alarm Matt said no , because if am seen Then i ll loose my job and believe me with a car like this one on the back I will get seen, I will simply say you ran out of fuel, and call you two idiots the mechanic said now lets talk business,

Back at Pear tree Carl had Calmed down and they was beginning to see the funny side of it , and him and Chas was just sitting talking about how bad a driver Matt was was, and thats why he was worried , he used to burn out all dads clutches with in aweek of him getting a new car, he would rage round in it with all his mates when dad was in bed or he went out with mum somewhere, Honest Chas hes got no respect. Carl Jimmy wont let him do anything yeah Carl said if he listens to Jimmy that is.

Meanwhile in the recovery truck Matt and Jimmy took their seats behind the driver when Jimmy noticed a dirty bottle on the floor with what seemed like dirty oil in it. Hey why don't you throw that away Jimmy said why have it with you, It has its uses the mechanic said , and whats that then Jimmy replied as he picked the bottle off the floor and unscrewed the lid, oh I can screw the firm for time if I have it you know go in covered in oil , show have done more work than I have, MMMM Matt said am glad you don't work for me , the mechanic laughed you gotta keep the wife happy mate he said.hey Matt Jimmy said looking devious Matt turned round as jimmy wiped oil on his face what the hell are you doing Matt said angrily as he watched as Jimmy started rubbing more oil on his hands with a smile on his face, Come on get stuck in Jimmy said if were gunna do this lets do nit properly, what Matt said confused , well we can make him think we have been trying to fix it if we turn up full of oil, Matt looked at him and paused , shaking his head and you said am evil Matt said laughing as he took the oil off him . the driver started laughing ,Your brother he said is he game fir a laugh like he asked, not lately Jimmy said hes had a bit of a hard time to be honest, giving Matt a dirty look, Oh shut up Jimmy it hasn't stopped you getting involved your loving this, yeah Jimmy said lets hope were still loving it after when Carl sees us covered in oil he will freak out.

when the truck pulled up out side Pear Tree the Matt instructed the mechanic to toot his horn right he said it needs a new engine because we broke the gasket trying to fix it. Matt ,jimmy said, The mechanic started laughing, Matt no your going to far, but it was to late Carl had already opened the door and Jimmy had no choice but to go along with him,

What the hell Carl shouted as he watched his two brothers climb of of the truck full of oil, Sorry mate Matt said walking past Carl hey get here whats happened to the car, Jimmy and Chas just stood there Chas in total shock Jimmy just thought my god what am I doing, Whats happened is it OK Carl asked the mechanic, New engine am afraid mate, they only beun out of petrol and they broke the head gasket trying to fix it pair of idiots your brothers, What Carl shouted Matt get here, Jimmy Whats happened , but Jimmy couldn't talk , erm erm sorry Carl is all he could manage, Carl run back into Pear tree where Matt was hey what the hell was you doing messing with the engine, If you must know mate we was doing you a favor you know how much it is for a engine for one of those me and Jimmy thought we could save you a few bob thats all. What it was only out of petrol you idiot, and anyway where did you go there was petrol in it. oh just took turns up and down the motor way thats all Matt said arrogantly, hey Jimmy tell him how fast we got , 160 mph no probs didn't we Jim, Jimmy just stood there listening not knowing weather to agree or disagree. Carl was getting so wound up , Jimmy was getting worried how could ye how could ye he was screaming as he walked outside to the car, Matt jimmy said this has gone to far we should tell him .No not yet Ive just paid that dodgy mechanic £200 for this i want my moneys worth, Carl was out side with Chas , he slipped his arm round her waist am sorry sweetheart he said, I promise it will get fixed I promise. Its OK its not your fault Chas said looking disappointed for the first time all day, Matt followed Carl out while the truck had just placed the Car outside Pear Tree , you Cant leave it here Carl said Cant you take it to a garage , Sorry mate the driver said I was instructed to bring it here once Ive unloaded it I cant take it back am sorry, Carl started getting angry look come on mate I will pay how much do you Want sorry mate company policy am afraid, Carl Jimmy said feeling guilty, just as he was about to tell Carl the truth Matt who had just heard them talk ran out ,look Its OK Carl you can tow me in the Jeep don't worry, What Carl screamed you think am letting you near it again you've just cost me thousands you idiot and you Carl looked at Jimmy messing with the engine I thought I could trust you. Alright alright don't blow a gasket Matt said , and started laughing at his own joke , you think this is funny do yeah Carl said no Matt said but the joke was Matt said still laughing, Carl had had enough his temper had boiled over as he punched Matt right in the face. Jimmy was stunned as Matt fell to the ground and Carl stood over him waiting for him to get up so he could hit him again, no stop it now this has gone far enough, Jimmy screamed as he jumped in, what Carl said you steal the Car then wreck it and laugh in my face don't tell me its gone far enough , It was a joke Jimmy screamed before Car hit Matt again the Car bis OK mate we set you up. What Carl looked over at the mechanic , sorry mate he mouthed back as he saw how much they had got to him, so who are you then he asked, they called us up and asked me to help them , your sick Carl said, and you He said to the mechanic hope they paid you well because you will need a job tomorrow. Now where are the keys am going home the kids will be in soon, Matt handed Carl the keys and Carl jumped in the Car you coming then he said to Chas , and the two of them sped to home farm.

You OK Jimmy said to Matt as he helped him up of the floor , told you you where pushing him to far oh shut up Jimmy hes probably sitting round the corner laughing at me because he put me on the floor, Matt said rubbling his face best watch it in future though little brother finally packs a good punch and am not gunna hear the last of it Jimmy looked at Matt and the both of them burst out laughing. hey I best not get the sack you wont Matt and jimmy said simultaneously , he will be fine later hes got something to gloat about.

Round the Corner Carl had stopped the car , here you go get in , Carl said rubbing his hands together your moods changed Chas said , yeah well I just realized I just put Matt on his backside He is never going to here the last of this hahahaha, come on take me home , Carl said still laughing.

It had Been three days since Thomas and Anya had been back at school and Carl had noticed the kids had been a little quiet , Carl had put It down to the come down of Christmas but Chas had also mentioned it and she thought someone should have a word with them just to be sure everything was OK,

Tell you what Chas said you talk to Thomas and I will see if there is anything Anya is not telling us, OK Carl said I will go outside have a kick around with him , and you can play Barbie's or whatever girls do, play dress up or something, Am sure you can do them things with Anya too Chas replied, In fact Chas continued I think it would be quite interesting to see Anya put some lippy on you, Am sure it would be but I certainly wont be letting her do it while Matt and Jimmy are around Ive had about as much of them two as I can take at the moment especially Matthew he seems to have it in for me Chas , sometimes I could swear he hates me, He doesn't Chas replied he just knows you easy to wind up thats all, am I Carl said , well thats why I need to be careful then isn't it, so no make up ,

The kids had been home from school about an hour and tonight they where extra quiet which was rare for Anya inpaticular as she was usually so loud and talkative, neither of them had ate much of their tea and Carl and Chas were getting even more worried, without thinking things through and going against what he had talked about Carl had had enough,
Right which one of you two is going to tell me whats going on , Thomas and Anya looked at each other and then both put their heads down ,Well Carl continued come on am not here all day whats wrong, no reply , Chas Looked at Carl angrily as she grabbed Anya's hand is every think OK sweetheart, is there any think you want to tell me, Anya give a quick glance at Thomas before shaking her head and bowing it.
Chas looked at Carl disapprovingly as he shrugged his shoulders at her, What he said we cant have this Chas I want to know whats wrong with them and their going to tell me before they leave this table , Carl ranted with out realizing ,Carl suddenly noticed a tear in Anya's eye, and it stopped him in his tracks , Hey sweetheart this isn't like you he said as he got up and walked around the table to where Anya was sitting, Carl knew Anya wanted a cuddle as she always loved to cuddle him,come here he said as he picked her up and went back to his seat with Anya on his knee, while she lay sobbing into his shoulder with her arms round his neck, Come on Thomas do you really want to see your sister like this , Tell me I can help, No you can't Thomas said and even if you try to it wont help and I will get called a grass, I don't want to be a grass dad that will make it worse, So you tell Anya to lie to me as well Thomas thats not fare is it ,Now I want to know Thomas and you will tell me , Chas rolled her eyes at Carl's approach as she again thought he was coming on to strong. Thomas stood up and went to walk away, hey sit down if it takes all night your going to tell me,am not Thomas said ,Yes you are , Carl ,Chas said why don't I take Anya in the living room , we can play , Do you want to go with Chas sweetheart play with your make up . Anya shook her head and clung to Carl more, Come on sweet heart am just going to be here with Thomas, Anya let go and lifted her head of Carl's tear stained shoulder, Carl gave her a reassuring squeeze as she went out the room with Chas.Come on you going to tell me or what, No dad you don't know what its like when peoples parents go in the school it gets worse and you don't even care, Well I know one thing Thomas Carl replied am going to the school tomorrow and I will find out any way so you might as well tell me now because I will find out. Thomas started crying , dad you cant go to the School they will hurt me more , who Carl replied as he pulled his chair next to Thomas's , Carl put his arms round Thomas , Carl felt Thomas flinch, whats up Car asked mysteriously, nothing Thomas said holding his side, Carl new there was some thing up, Take your uniform off Carl ordered fearing he was hurt, No dad I cant Thomas cried, Now Carl demanded, Sobbing Thomas started taking his school jumper and shirt off,knowing what his dad was going to see Thomas's sobs were getting worse, Jesus Carl said as he saw his sons bruised ridden little body , what on earth has gone on who the hell, at that minute Chas walked in the room ,Carl I know whats wro, Chas was stunned too as she saw Thomas and now the tears where in Carl's eyes as Chas stood in shock.
